Buried about 3/4ths of the way through the article:
"Over half (51%) of all fatal pig attacks occur in India, followed by China (8%), with the U.S. well behind at six recorded fatalities in the past 100 years"
Hmm, I wonder why America is far behind India and China? :ar15:

I know in India that friggin monkeys kill many people a year just by being little b*stards. Throwing loose bricks from trees at people and the like. I don't know if they endangered or not, but ignoring that a 10/22 (or a .22 LR MP5 clone in my case) would show those monkeys whose boss if that was happening here.

"A landowner, tenant, or other person with written permission from the landowner can shoot or trap a wild hog on that landowner’s private property without a permit. ... If trapped, the hog must be killed at the trap site or euthanized immediately."

    Open season, as it were.

Interestingly, the southern Indiana population that was on this map (below) from 2004-2022, is no longer on the map. Any of you southern Indiana folks seen any the last couple of years?:

Hmm, looking at the map from 17-2019, it would appear that "illegal" transport has been going on in many places. You go from zero in an area to alot quite fast and those areas are hundreds of miles away from areas with them already. Read an article couple weeks ago on how and why wild hogs were suddenly appearing in certin places.
