Well, I may have made a mistake with my trade, but I traded an AR I haven't shot in years for a VP9 Tactical.... oh it feels good in hand. I can't wait to get it to the range.

    SO nice!!
Well, if you are not using a particular gun anymore, no use in keeping it around...get something you'll actually get some use out of.

Sooo regarding ammo for the VP9 Tactical, is there any type that should be used more than another??
115 grain? 124 grain? I hear it eats everything, which is great, but if it 'prefers' something specific, I'd like to know.......

Every pistol whether the same model, batch, etc will group differently. It may be very close but an outlier may happen esp if the shooter doesn't do their part and is hard to discern of was me or the pistol? Some rounds seem destined for bullseye shooting and some for combat grade accuracy. The fun part is finding your "jam" vs pricing. Match grade ammunition isn't inexpensive. Inexpensive grade might get the job done for whatever you are trying to achieve. Gotta weigh between the 2...

The older HK guns (P7, P9) supposedly are better to use with 124 grain ammo. I’ve had no issues using inexpensive 115 grain range ammo in any of my HK guns (both the older ones but also the newer poly guns like the VP9, VP9SK, and P30SK). Honestly, they are not picky. Your new toy will process whatever you give it.

I use a HK 45 LEM for my duty gun and love it. Am looking at acquiring a HK 45C and HK P30 all with the LEM. I have shot a VP 9 Match several times and if I was in the market for another striker that’d be hard to pass. Great guns
Do you know Garry H sensei?

Wish I had gotten the tactical! I just have the standard but I think I need to part with it for maybe a tactical that is optic ready or a shadow 2!

Just read today they don’t like 115….stove pipes. Guy loves it and has a couple thousand rounds. But who knows.
