Another quick update - none of the Gander Mountains have any .380. The first reply I got when I asked was "No! If you find any, let me know." He was pessimistic about ever getting any more in.

I checked 5 on-line ammo suppliers - all of the say "This caliber is out of stock." On Aoomunition to Go's website, their link to .380 ammo (both FMJ and HP) says: "There are no products to list in this category."

Yeah - there's PLENTY of ammo for sale.

On my way back from Chicago yesterday I stopped at Cabela's in Hammond, IN. They had absolutely 0 boxes of any kind of 9mm or 380 ammo.

Well, it should get better soon. I had been buying regularly since Jan to protect myself from rising prices. I have enough to last me about a year and a half, so I'm out of the market. Hopefully, there are thousands like me. The ammo plants are still running flat out. The importers are shipping here where they get higher margins than in their home markets. It will even out soon....assuming BHO doesn't do anything rash.

I talked to an older gentleman at walmart today, and he told me that a gun shop close to me is coming in to buy ALL the 500+ packs that they are getting in. He has told the other associates that they need to be putting some back for regular customers and not to sell him everything. He was told that the gunshop owner can buy it at walmart cheaper than he can get it. When he told me this I knew who he is talking about and the shop is jacking the price up to $25 a box.

This is me, too. I have stocked up about 2x what I shot last year, and I shot a fair amount then. I'm sure quite a few of us do, too. I can't imagine production wouldn't catch up sometime during the next 12 months...

Was at the Logansport Walmart at about 4:30AM today. No pistol ammo in the case at all. They had a couple of boxes of Remington .270 and a few of 30-06, but no other rifle ammo displayed either. Shotgun rounds out the ying-yang (even where you could actually just pick them up yourself). Didn't see any bulk .22 either, come to think of it. Holy crap, no bulk .22? I might go into withdrawl!!

Grrrr already there man! I never thought to really stock up on 22lr. Im buying at least 4 bulk boxes ASAP. I got only 5- 50rd boxes last week:rolleyes: It was all gone!

I just went to ammoman.com and clicked on their .22LR link, and it says:
"THIS CALIBER IS SOLD OUT OF PRODUCT FOR NOW
BUT PLEASE CHECK BACK AT A LATER DATE.."

LMAO.. Yeah, that's how I roll. lol
    Do they do mail-order????
Lol I don't think so... But if you care to take a drive up there... It's in Grand Rapids...
If you do decide to go up there I would call them and the surrounding wal-marts and ask what they had in stock and buy it all. lol. Or bring some pop cans to trade in for 10 cents a piece lol.

This was exactly the case for me too when I went to my local Wal-Mart in Schererville last night to see if they had any last night at about 11pm. Nothing.. only a few cases of CCI .22. The cases were completely bare with the price stickers still placed where the would-be ammo went. Many boxes of shotgun rounds out on the shelves where you could get them yourself though (which I'm sure is the case at most, if not all, Wal-Marts). Sounds like you visited my Wal-Mart :): Although this sounds like the case everywhere else too..

But as I was leaving the sporting goods department, I did see some more on a pallet that they dropped in the middle of the floor that they must have intended to stock sometime during the night, but that didn't look like much more at all either.. And all I saw from the markings on the boxes were more .22! Haha

:wow: I wish this was the sight at my local Wal-Mart.. that's crazy.

I can't see the ammo prices from the photo. I can buy lots of expensive ammo everywhere if I want to pay $20 to $60 PER BOX OF 20 (RIFLE), OR $400 - $1000 PER CASE OF 1,000. The inexpensive practice ammo and primers are had to find in my area.

Walmart gets shipments all the time but they stock it up in the back of the store until about 8:30 p.m. and then the rush is on and a whole herd of stockers spread out around the store with pallets of products for the shelves. This includes ammo also. I was at my closest walmart last night and they had about 15 boxes of ammo that they were putting on the shelves. Hardly noticed any difference on those mostly bare shelves.

For those close to the Seymour area. Acme Sports always has stocked shelves. 9mm, and 40 depending on the brand $15.00 and up. I know it's not as cheap as Walfart. However even during the panic, they always had ammo. The only caliber they still lack is, imagine .380.
