It's good to see people stand up for the 2nd, but saying you're getting ready for the "Big Show" is a poor choice of words. Too easily misconstrued, especially on the evening news.
I don't think his comments were misconstrued at all. In his latest statements, he's trying to back away from it by saying that he was talking about TEOTWAWKI in this country. However, taken in context, his original comments clearly pointed to insurrection/revolt if the 2010 elections don't go how he thinks they should.
I'm no doctor, but I believe that in the brain there's a little gate between the "think" part of the brain and the "talk" part of the brain. Sometimes, the gate gets stuck in the "up" position. I think that's what happened to Behney, and he's trying to close the barn door after the horse got away. "I mispoke" often means "I said what I was really thinking, and I didn't mean to do that."
