All electric. With the amount my mom pays to top off her 500 gallon tank, no thanks.
That's too bad. My generators are all dual fuel. I'd rather run propane. To each his own. I am all electric also. I use 100 lb propane tanks Have 4 of them. Can run 20 lb if I have to, have 8 of those. Then I have 2 30lber's on the camper.

It's a dual fuel, I have two of them (price was so good, why not grab a spare).

A'ok with gas here so I get the full power output and we can do everything like we're on utility power.

Its cheaper and easier to run it on gas, with plenty of 5gal cans filled and then 36 in the truck, I'm good to rock and roll. Plenty of gas stations to fill them up vs limited propane filling stations (or in my mom's case, needing a truck come top it off)...

I'm thinking I'd buy a copy of the 3 little pigs and send it to the neighbors who complained...

    In the country, hopefully.
I'm just waiting on the "Why the love for cyclists?" thread... ;)
    Sounds like another thread here.
Can we start a light pollution thread?
I could be head Karen for sure.
It's just wrong to move out to the country and then light up your place like a football stadium when you're not even there. All in the name of "security".

You can be, Head Karen. :sheep:

We were still milking then, I needed to run my home and a pasteurizer.

Oh don't get me wrong we have a huge light on top of the 120' grain leg, lights it up like daytime. But it doesn't light up the neighbors, and only on when we're working. This guy has huge LED's mounted all over his 8' tall buildings pointed straight out, and therefore also up, on all night every night.

Ugh, we have good hedge rows and some distance so lights really arnt a problem. We really don't have any obtrusive lighting problems there.

Why is this so hard? The HOA covenants and restrictions are in writing. The use of a generator is either allowed or it is not by said covenants and restrictions.

Actually I have wondered if use of a generator all night violates some cities noise ordinances?
Yes they are, but when the people in charge don't bother to follow those rules, what do you do?

Neighborhood next door. I see on fb all the time where people are getting called out on petty landscaping/weed issues, but the HOA won’t maintain the pond/common areas within those same standards.

I don't understand why someone would want to live in an HOA, but its a free country so to each his own. If it was me that received this letter, I would have to respond by asking them if getting bent was against their community standards, and if it was to "stay off my lawn!" lol

For the same reasons people think we need more laws.

More rules/laws are GREAT. It helps maintain order and keeps the riffraff under control.

UNTIL the rules get weaponized against them. Like speed cameras. They're great! Until you get your citation in the mail.
