Around 2012 one of my sons saved his summer money and bought a crate of Mosins, he just told me it was a bit over $2,000 shipped when he bought them. They are still in the grease.Heck, even around 2010, piles of 91/30s were still $75.
I bought a few there.I remember when i was 18 going into bradis and they had a barrel of sks in the middle of the store for $100.
Those were the days.
That is incredible. I truly regret not buying a crate of Mosins. LolAround 2012 one of my sons saved his summer money and bought a crate of Mosins, he just told me it was a bit over $2,000 shipped when he bought them. They are still in the grease.
As a teen in the 70's my father and grand father would take us over the river to Old Towne Alexandria to see Interarms and the retail store there called Hunters Haven.I also remember seeing surplus pistols and rifles on gun magazines in the 70's. Mail order and rated VG to unissued. Man, are those days over.
UPS and FED EX cant even deliver your ammo or parts without losing your stuff !
I bought mine for $99 in 2011/12. It was straight out of the crate, they had maybe 3-4 crates and were selling 'em cheap! Rounded receivers, not hex mind you.just out of curiosity, i hear people talking about back in the 90's early 2000's how sks's where 80 bucks and ak's where 189. I havent heard anything about mosin. How much where they going for way back when?
I got several from a gun shop or outlet in Versailles, KY. Can't remember the name now. It had a lot of surplus rifles, and ammunition. I bought from them regularly years ago.My parents bought me an m44 for $60 from Dunhams in 2007. In 2011 they bought me an m91/30 for $120 from Dunhams. Both are izzys. Was offered way more than that for the m44 a while back.
