I cant seem to find a straight answer...

Im building up a 7 in SBR...I simply love the look.

In terms of shooting a standard 55FMJ that are right at about 2750fps...

What can I expect in terms of hitting the target at 50-150 meters?

What is the max effective range of this round and is there any power left for some knock-down?

Ive got to beleive at 50-100 meters, it has plenty to get the job done...

Experiences? Chronographs? Target pics of proof?

    Thank you, Dave

Your velocities should be more around the 24-2500fps range at near the muzzle, not quite high enough to fragment a bullet reliably. All it will do is punch .22 caliber holes very fast.

Are you willing to put that to the test? I'd venture to say it'll still do damage.

Lots of witnesses this weekend of a 10" AR easily hitting a steel silhouette at 400 yards with an aimpoint. Zeroed at 300, hold was middle of the head for center mass impacts at 400. Ammo was 55 grain prvi. Took maybe 6-8 tries to hit a 4" circle. Might not be hitting hard at that range but I wouldn't want to be downrange of it.
