your seeing lube goo.....unless you shoot moly coated lead, jacketed or plated you will find some goo.....

I hate to say you have no idea what you are talking about *** but *** "You Have No Idea What You Are Talking About"
None of my guns have seen a jacketed or plated bullet in over 5,000 rounds, and I have never had ANY "goo" in the chamber of any of my guns.

Ok guys. First I thank you for all the replys. I took a closer look at the gun and it looks to be lead in the chamber where the bullet sits like one other member metioned. I took a stainless brush and some hops 9 and it cleaned out with some hard scrubbing. I think I was at 4.7 grains of 231. The rounds were very accurate and I shot a small informal match with the gun running about fifty rounds in total. I loaded about fifty more up to try at 5.0 grains of 231. The rifleing was clean and the powder residuals on the feed ramp and frame parts was normal. Before I cleaned it I droped a loaded round in th barrel and it was real hard to chamber. I bet if I kept shooting it would have locked up on me at some point. The bullets were .451 and I only had a few hundred so the new box I got are .452 in diameter. They are made by Desplains bullet company from IL. They seem to be a good quality bullet. Maybe the .451 are junks I got from the gun show and that could be where the problem lies.
