What barrel length are you wanting?Recommendations for a good .38
Oh I have no doubt that he's doing that, given the number of one-liners he's been posting.I would keep an eye on the classified ads here.
I think Hickok45 is the inherently accurate portion of the equation. As for the OP I would suggest a basic safety class and then rent a snubby as well as two or three small 9mm pistols before making any decision on what might be the best option for you.Hickok45 hits his gong at 80 yards with a Smith J frame pretty regularly so they are inherently accurate.

Nice gunI have had several .38's (still do), but my carry gun of choice is a Ruger LCR chambered in .357. They make a .38, but the .357 is a more sturdy construction because it's made to stand up to the heavier load. I carry .38+P self-defense ammo in mine, mostly Federal HydraShok because it has lower recoil. Snubbies are more challenging to shoot accurately, but with practice, you should have no problem.
Analogy from the past.. I used to play a LOT of tennis, got pretty good and took lessons on a regular basis.. I was always convinced that the guy that taught me could have whipped me using a coke bottle instead of a tennis racket.. Hickok45 is that good.Yep! He is good!
