So. Think of the fun we all could have taking those 250 guns and fixing them..

Even if you were too cheap to buy spare parts, you could strip them and use what parts work to make a certain number work.

That is like dumping cash in the trash.

    I don't get it.

There is a difference between trying to fix weird mopar cars... and guns
Hmmm, apparently not these particular guns.
There's a reason the manufacturer didn't want them back for repair/destruction. A similar reason why the store didn't sell them whole or stripped of parts. (they're poorly made and worth ****-all)

what the hell. how does this happen. so many parts to sell of them. transfer them to another shop for decommission. lots of possibilities

They had to be tipped off. If I found 250 guns in a dumpster I wouldn’t be making a call to any alphabet agency… I would call my buddy to bring a van and some blankets. Haha

Sounds like the guy got stuck with a bunch of crap, defective guns that the manufacturer would not take back and the ATF would not accept. So, he turned the kid hired to sweep floors loose with a cutoff wheel and didn’t supervise or verify the chop process.

The fact that there were 250 crap guns in the dumpster is not surprising, but the fact that he didn’t verify the destruction is. As an FFL holder, he had a duty to make sure those where rendered scrap before they went into the dumpster. That’s where he dropped the ball.

What a mess! He could have avoided this debacle with a little due diligence and attention to detail. Guaranteed the ATF will hang him out to dry. Ouch!
