I was really considering the SR22 when I was starting to look for a .22 pistol, but couldn't get over the fact that the safety is set up backwards. I am surprised I haven't heard this mentioned more.
I was looking at .22/45's when my wife got her hands on a MP 22. There was no doubt from that moment it would be the next purchase.
Of course, I'll not complain because it keeps her interested in going to the range and spending some time there without impatiently asking how much longer I will be...and it is much cheaper to feed that than her FN57 which leaves more in the "ammo budget" to feed my .45's
