I just got a text message in Greek.Need a foam riser for my front bench bag.
Anschutz 1415 has a slick buttplate and was a bit low yesterday, so kinda squirrely.
Wish it had a rubber plate instead. May end up having a pad fitted.
See how it does after a good clean (bought used, just took it out and shot).
Am not one to continuously experiment.
This hopefully a good sporter.
Rings/scope situated now where I can start actual testing.
Old beater 3.5-10XAO glossy in D3 11mm rings (.7 high).
I actually like the 64.I just got a text message in Greek.
Dirty translation says,
Ancshtz 1416, I thought I taut mys boy better Then to bes a model 54 poser.
Lol, between my Cooper and the Annie I don't need another 22lr, But if I came across a fat barreled CZ 453 with single set, I would have a hard time walking away from it.Liked the looks of the 54 sporters, big trigger guard w curve at front.
But found the 64 stuff to be tolerable.
HOWEVER..............neither feel that great to me. The stocks/grips are slick and feel a bit off to my hands.
Add in a slick buttplate.
Honestly, I'd rather have a synth stock. The one on my CZ455 felt great. Plain but looked good.
Unfortunately the 455 had backwards safety and the new 457 synth stocks I don't like.
If my 455 had a "normal" safety I'd have been done w .22 lr rifles.
The 1415 is cool, a time piece. Trigger decent, it seems like it will be an OK shooter.
The stock however, just isn't quite what I prefer.
But my arthritis has been raging this weekend so my hands are a bit grumpy.
I gave it a try.
