Meh, never mind.
So we are thinking a real man would be carrying a .22 short even....I think the .22 LR is overkill. The .22 Long is good enough.

Did you even watch the videos? It's cute to mock but he used ballistics gelatin and denim, which is what the standard is.

(there's always the exception...Davy Crockett and a knife for example)
Such a sad story.... what was he doing in a bar so young anyway?!?
See that's the thing, if you think there are some factors that are important to consider that aren't accounted for in that test, all you have to do is change up your test to try to account for those other variables! It's not too hard, really.Yep, I've seen the videos a long time ago. Yep, he got a little bit of expansion along with the penetration. He also did this in a controlled environment. Could he get repeatable results? I'm sure he does as long as he duplicates the conditions. Those conditions aren't going to be perfect in a self defense situation. There are many factors in play and you can't count on something that barely makes the minimum standard to preform the same in those other conditions
Little late to the party but here's my thoughts. If someone can rapidly deploy and get accurate hits on target then I think they are fully capable of defending themselves with a 22. Can they serve a warrant on a violent felon or go fight in Afghanistan with it? No! But the little .22 will probably be enough going out to dinner with the family or swinging by Wal-mart. With all that said, I carry a M&P 2.0 9mm and am the belief carry the biggest gun you can, but I also believe carrying any kind of gun takes you out of the "easy victim" category for a opportunistic thug.
Nope.
Furthermore, how is serving a warrant or fighting in Afghanistan somehow more important than defending an individual's life when they are attacked? You need the best tools for the job.

I carry a 2 shot .22 derringer. Shot placement is key. This isn’t Fallujah.
That's OK, but I prefer 11 rounds from a S&W .22 Compact to the face.
