Spent last week on Lake Chickamauga in TN. Hit it perfectly and the crappies weren't shy. Filled the coolers every day and each guy took home 3 one gallon ziplocks of fillets. Every creek arm we fished held crappie.

We hit the gills like that for a week a couple years ago down at Patoka. Best fishing I've ever had. Nice job.

Last couple days have been basically busts for good gills, only kept 4. Still a lot of small bait stealers.

Been catching some LM. Yesterday had several 14 - 16” ones and lost a few. Friday had a larger 1 on for a while but eventually broke my line ( 4# leader ) before getting on shore.

Eggs in large gills not completely formed so with the cool down ahead, don’t know if they will be back here again or if they have left for spawning grounds not to return. Time will tell.

Eagle Creek Wednesday night. My son and I caught 80 and kept 39. Tossed a few on smoker for a snack while we were cleaning.

Nice job on the fillets. Were these caught in the park or along the creek outside the park proper? I've found fishing inside the park to really be spotty, usually spotty as in not very good fishing. I've wondered if upstream or downstream of the park might be better.

I don't ice fish, and I've neglected my fishing gear for too long.
Now that the new year has begun I'm going to be able to purchase the last fishing license I l will ever need in Indiana.
I can now get a senior lifetime fishing license.
Just wish they would offer a senior lifetime hunting license.
I did get a free charter trip on Lake Michigan a couple of weeks ago.
