I have one of these I'll bring along...don't know how well it will do, but figure it could possibly keep a few appendages from freezing off...

Great! Early weather reports look to be a beautiful day. Partly cloudy and 36, with no precip. Even a small heater will be enough to get a quick warm-up.

Do we need to bring targets & stands or does HCFG have some? Never been there before.

There will be stands. If you have paper targets you'd like to bring, feel free.

Yeah, I certainly wasn't stocking up. I usually don't buy much ammo at Gander but the price was a far cry better than they have had it for up until recently at $27 a box of 20, think they realized they couldn't gut you with every purchase just bend you over

Last time I was at Bradis in Camby, they had 440 spam cans for $109.

Something else to consider for the shoot...I'm bringing a pair of gloves, as this other thread got me thinking...

I bought a pair of these:

Hatch Specialist All–Weather Neoprene Shooting Gloves IN STOCK and ready to ship!

for use in the YSINTG class last weekend. The temps were in the mid-20's and my hands got cold, but not unbearably so. It was miles ahead of not wearing gloves at all. I wouldn't recommend them for arctic shooting, but a couple hours in the cold should be fine.

Yea, if your Mosin isn't oozing cosmoline, you're not shooting long enough

Despite owning it for a year, this will be the first time I put lead down the pipe with this weapon, so my anticipation is building.

I'd like to capture my first shot with it for posterity. I'll throw a camera in my bag and ask for a volunteer with a steady hand unless anyone objects?
