I have one of these I'll bring along...don't know how well it will do, but figure it could possibly keep a few appendages from freezing off...

Great! Early weather reports look to be a beautiful day. Partly cloudy and 36, with no precip. Even a small heater will be enough to get a quick warm-up.

    Oh yeah, I'm ready!

Stopped by Gander Mountain on the way home to stock up on some supplies.
If anyone still needs ammo, Brown Bear 7.62.54r FMJ box of 20 is $11.99

Yikes! You got bent over, dude! I don't pay that much for .223!

Yeah, I certainly wasn't stocking up. I usually don't buy much ammo at Gander but the price was a far cry better than they have had it for up until recently at $27 a box of 20, think they realized they couldn't gut you with every purchase just bend you over:)

Just needed a little extract non-corrosive...

Last time I was at Bradis in Camby, they had 440 spam cans for $109.:yesway:

Something else to consider for the shoot...I'm bringing a pair of gloves, as this other thread got me thinking...

As you started talking prices anyone who wants a copy of my Ammo price spreadsheet let me know.

Send me your name and Email and I will put you on the list. The only reason I'd like a first name is so I know who I am talking to if some one is GivesAS**T@Booger.Net.

I've got a lot of choices on 7.62x54R ammo pricing along with most other MilSurp calibers.

    Regards,

    Doug

I bought a pair of these:

Hatch Specialist All–Weather Neoprene Shooting Gloves IN STOCK and ready to ship!

for use in the YSINTG class last weekend. The temps were in the mid-20's and my hands got cold, but not unbearably so. It was miles ahead of not wearing gloves at all. I wouldn't recommend them for arctic shooting, but a couple hours in the cold should be fine.

I'm in with my sniper repro and my m91 like last year, not going to be bringing any apple crisp this year though (saw this thread too late).

If anyones coming from Indianapolis a carpool would be wonderful.

Sorry, Zephri. We're full up. You'll have to wait until next year.

We'd love to have you, we just can't accommodate any more people. I suspect I'll be hearing about this event from the HCFG board as it is. :):

Despite owning it for a year, this will be the first time I put lead down the pipe with this weapon, so my anticipation is building.

I'd like to capture my first shot with it for posterity. I'll throw a camera in my bag and ask for a volunteer with a steady hand unless anyone objects?
