Now that's ****ing free speech right there.
Oh. Crap.

See if this was marked Official, this probably wouldn't have happened.

Wondering if this is a 1A (government limits) or private property/organization placing limits thread? Both? Private universities and Private magazines/papers fall outside of the 1A. They can say pretty much anything they want, and have pretty much any policy they want, and the market can decide if they want to hear the words or follow their rules.
I actually know of only a few current cases of 1A issues. The "printed" gun plans being one.
TONS of examples of private citizens trying to shut up other private citizens. That's just everyday life.
In before the thread morphs into a food thread of some sort.
Bacon flavored popcorn.
Whether you hate Alex Jones is beside the point. Do you love the fact a handful of tech monopolists have the power to simultaneously purge him from the internet?
That's why I see this sort of event as being appropriate for the thread. It's effectively removing someone's voice and impact, using dubious reasoning.
He won't be the last.
"He should create his own platform, then!" Come on now... you know how unreasonable and unrealistic that is. It's a problem because of the tech monopoly. Alternatives get quickly labeled as "hate outlets" and essentially shut down.
When's the last time you heard about voat, the reddit alternative? Or gab, the Twitter alternative?
Logical next happenings: His web hosting service decides to drop him, because everyone else is doing it! Maybe he'll get another gig on Joe Rogan's podcast here soon... that episode (911) was particularly fun to watch.
