So when the heck do I get to move up to the Nighthawk??!!
When you stop cutting yourself with your knives...

When I was 12, I got to shoot the 03 Springfield, Remington shotguns and the Winny .22.Little Bastards will probably make off with my guns too. When I picked up that 9mm nighthawk Mrs.VERT said "VERT Jr. Will probably like shooting that....". Yeah right! I ain't starting a 12 year off with a semi custom 1911! He can learn to shoot a plastic, striker fired gun like everyone else. I had to choke down Old Milwaukees Best before I could appreciate the micro brews.
I never got to have oneMid life crisis was terribly expensive.
I never got to have one
When I grow up I want to be a fireman. OR Astronaut. OR sell shoes with Al BundyI has a sad for you.
I am very lucky to have survived mine.
I'll be happy to make it to mine, which was one reason firearm wise, I get what I can when I can. Now, if I could just afford a Nighthawk GRP one day.I has a sad for you.

All mags aren't made identical. I can feel a difference when the round chambers with different mags. I gots to go with the Mouse Mod on the Wilson and CM mags.
That being said, I don't have any of the newer CM mags. I haven't bought one in about 5 years maybe?
Years ago I would run CM mags only. No trouble out of them BUT loading the Wilsons always seems less of a chore.
If you have not grown up by 60 you do not have to......or so I have been told.....
man if that's your price range, you GOTTA go with Kimber. hands down. don't go colt, that's what all of the old timers will tell you. and in your price range you can probably get one from there custom shop if you can find one. I have owned every manufacturer of 1911 and Kimber is the way to go. I was highly disappointed by sig's take on a 1911. colts aren't bad but wouldn't be my first choice. springfields are also pretty nice, especially emp's or trp's
