That A2 is amongst the mostest beautiful things I've ever seenThe CZ is my favorite shooter but if I'm going to carry a 1911, it's going to be the A2 Commander
Lock n Load was may Dad. He passed last year and I wasn’t able to get any of his Kimbers (parents divorced , current GF wasn’t nice) so I picked this up last week , slapped some VZ grips I got from him on there and with today being D-Day felt appropriate to post a 1911.Here are my Kimbers:
And a SA 1911A1:
Is this your EDC.EDC plain Jane with plenty of scratches, holster wear, some dings, and grips that are starting to look a bit smooth around the edges...finish is wearing thin as well.
Has fitted Wilson Combat internals and a trigger set at 2lbs with a shortened reset.
Jane knows it's what's inside that counts.

Is this your EDC.
Trigger is a bit touchy for that work but I like it.
3.5 for my EDC. Just me.It is...have admittedly been spoiled by light triggers though I know many opinions weigh other ways.
My Springfield Ronin 45acp it breaks around 4 lbs. After shooting striker fired pistols for so long, and the awesome triggers on 1911's I was bump firing it I guess you would say. It was usually 2 shots like a 2 rd burst. I learned what I was doing within the first few magazines worth of shooting.3.5 for my EDC. Just me.
I have had a few in the low 2’s but no one else could shoot them due to people (not everyone) not understanding.
With the crystal break of a well tuned 1911 I use the end pad on my trigger finger and almost the tip. Your grip is important as well as many use the trigger finger as part of their grip. I have seen it multiple times with folks hanging on to an all steel gun in 45ACP and causing the bump fire. Not truly a bump fire but the results are the same. Your trigger finger should remain a free agent from your grip.My Springfield Ronin 45acp it breaks around 4 lbs. I ride the trigger on my striker fired and thus the quick reset, and crisp break of the 1911 trigger, and with the recoil it was causing me to bump fire it.
I now move my finger forward a little more when shooting 1911's.
Oh great I can no longer poke fun at the Big Red!EDC plain Jane with plenty of scratches, holster wear, some dings, and grips that are starting to look a bit smooth around the edges...finish is wearing thin as well.
