I think if you call Colt, you'll find your pistol is satin nickel and not stainless steel.
yes it is...... meant SN not SS...... actually it's electrostatic nickel

Are you certain on the 1918 date? It has the post 1924 "1911A1" finger relief cuts behind the trigger, slide release, and the "1911A1" mainspring housing and grip safety?Colt .22LR Conversion Unit on 1918 Commercial 1911 Frame. This thing shoots great!
