S&W Performance Center 1911 (5") wearing new VZ 320 grips...
And now I see this in the classifieds. That makes me sad. Can't you sell a Glock or something else?
A little history about a neat gun. This started off as a Mil-Spec that went straight to GunSite from Springfield's factory. It's a pre-2002 (only two position *clicks* when cocking the hammer instead of three). I'm trying to track down specifics to find which smith did the work and what year...
But here are the obvious things;
1) Trigger job
2) Novak sights
3) Checkered front strap and MSH
4) Enhanced Hammer
5) Swept beavertail
6) Two-piece guide rod
7) Ambi-safety
8) complete De-horn
9) Bead blast (?) finish
10) Checkered front trigger guard
11) skeletonized trigger
12) Lowered flared ejection port
I'll post up more when I find who did the work, and maybe what else was done.
That is a sweet gun, JG.
Thanks. All I've found so far is that it was GunSite during the "Cooper Era". Tracking stuff down has proven to be kinda fun.Nice

If it was worked on by Cooper at Gunsite, it could be worth a little more from what I read about it.
See if you can get some documentation on it. Might go far if you ever sell it.
True story. It came in during day shift, got shelved below, and I never even noticed it...I had that gun in my gubby little fingers and let it go....
At least you can thank me for bringing the gun to your attention.
You probably never gave it a 2nd look until I started drooling all over it... LOL
