Absolutely...everybody deserves a nice 1911 unless of course you are an idiot. However I'm not sure a 10mm is the best idea, I've heard horror stories of the frame cracking. Not sure how true it is

If you plan on shooting the gun very much the 10mm would be an expensive handful...if you have plenty of $$ it still is a handful in the 1911...The .45 is plenty and you can always find "deals" on .45 ammo...not so on 10mm...ever see any 10mm at Walmart?

The early Colts had frame issues but they were worked out. I was trying to say the 10 would not be a good choice for beginners but didn't do a very good job of it. I have a thread with some of my 10mms pictured. :yesway:

    I see...if that's the case, I may consider a 10mm in the future...

10mm is a bastard round. It is expensive to shoot, and not enough advantages to the round to justify owning one, unless you are simply adding a pony to the stable so to speak. I would go with the Kimber, especially if it is a good price. Para's can be hit or miss.

Thanks for all the input. I will be able to see the Para. After I. choose I will post a picture of my final choice.

Hope to get some more suggestions between now and then
