I was all about the .45 Raptor...even purchased a 308 lower/upper combo. After tons of research, i ended up deciding against it. Cost, parts and reliability all affected my decision. I ended up going with building my own .308 AR. Easiest build and most reliable rifle I own. Runs like a...
I just want to say I am a fan of the 40 s&w.
I love actual testing and data over opinions. The October issue of American Rifleman really drove home a point to me. On pages 42-43 it reviewed the new Sig premium defense ammo. The thing that stuck in my head after test firing .380, 9mm, .40...
Obviously people think that they are above answering and educating those that know less than you. What makes you think you are superior because you know something they dont? Take the time to be a ambassador for firearms and the shooting sport in general. The basic facts are we need numbers and...
Which is great except for Federal tax, Social Security, Medicare, Indiana State, Indiana local, and CEDIT taxes. We would still be at the 35% they take (combined) from my paycheck.
They use tourniquets in surgery when working on a specific limb. I know for a fact that people come out with all of their limbs. I would bet it has much more to do with the amount of time the tourniquet is left on versus using one to stop blood loss.
I know you said you dont want to do it but.......
MGW makes a sight tool that i would spend money on. I dont personally own one but they make stuff for aerospace and i can speak to the quality of their shifters they make. The quality of their products are amazing!
.308 AR FAQ? Your help & knowledge is requested! -
this is what I referenced for part compatibility along with numerous websites To verify...seems spot on from my experience...
Not random guesses personal experience. If you want to have fun...go back and check your math....45 plus 30 equals 80 doing it your way....
Read mine for content....I made the mistake of putting 308 AR in my first post. My bad. Your opinion versus mine....
amazing.....
I own an older savage so I don't know if it still holds true. Can you still just buy a different barrel for different calibers with the new Savages Like you could with the older models? I enjoy what I have but just asking. Go me, that would be a selling point.
Just throwing it out there...
What if it was a AR in a caliber the end user came up with or made that wasn't available otherwise? To me that is a custom.
Anything else would be customized, even if it came from DD. ...readily available parts to the consumer in a different configuration ...
Lol...glad you know so much.
Doing a custom build on 308 AR platform. I haven't experienced the compatability issues so far with my parts that you speak of and my parts prices were much cheaper...not using a Palmetto Armory anything. I just threw it out there as an example of parts pricing...
Jeremy,
I would love to call people out but just know better than to even do it as people get "butt hurt." I gave examples of my current build and parts prices..that should be sufficient. I had also left out that someone currently has the S&W M&P10 for $1099...if you are a person that needs...
I only say these things as I am putting together an 308 AR right now and have researched it ....instead of telling you something someone once told me....I was told to spring for a matched upper and lower if you want a better fit but I don't know if that's true or not. I did get an Aero upper...
I wasn't going to post, probably shouldn't now but.....
Palmetto has 18 inch COMPLETE stainless uppers in 308 for $649 to 1000....they just had free shipping this weekend. Palmetto also has stripped lowers for $79 to $129....you will need a AR15 lower build kit for $45 from Anderson and 308...
I just want to take the time to welcome everyone to the party that started years ago with the 5.7x28 round. There was even a certain supplier of 5.7 bullets that was raided and shut down by the BATF. The beauty of it is that many were so busy stating that the 5.7x28 was so inferior to the...
