Picked up a gently used S&W 686 Plus with 6" barrel yesterday. Forcing cone area and cylinder face needed some extra attention but it's range ready as of this morning.
That looks all too familiar. Replaced firing pins and hammer springs on my old 525 last year. Will admit to having a devil of time getting the hammer springs into place :wallbash:
Had Mini 30 (583 serial / composite stock) at the range. No issues. Afterward, cleaned it and upon reassembly, the trigger will not function. Hammer is cocked but won't release. Take trigger assembly out of stock and it works fine. I've looked at it for more than an hour and am bamboozled.
Marlin 1894 in 357/38 from a fellow INGO member. Serial number dates it to 1983 which is the same year my very first firearm, a Marlin Model 60, was born. Looking forward to putting rounds down range!
I've yet to find anybody who doesn't like my 39A Mountie. For something a bit different, a Marlin 57M in .22 Mag leaves a week long perma grin on my face.
Long story short.....mother-in-law is looking for a wheel gun to match the one her sister had. Doesn't know the make/model but has a pic. My knowledge of revolvers is lacking but am guessing the INGO experts can help. What is this?
After a couple of firearm free spending years in a row, I've told myself this is the year I focus on essentials like mags and ammo.....plus maybe a pistol red dot or two. That said, there are three guns, if seen in local shops, I'd be hard pressed to pass up. Let's see how long this plan will last.
Title says it all. Preferably pre crossbolt safety but will consider models pre Remington. Looking to fill a hole in a small Marlin lever gun collection.
