      Penalty for expired handgun permit

      Does anyone know what the penalty is? If your somehow caught carrying in this situation. Not that I ever would. For instance, your permit is expired by a couple months and you've submitted a new app. Somebody forgot to renew on time. Oops.

      The paper says for Tipp. county residents only. Requirement #4 and typed in bold print. Thanks to everyone for the responses.

      Tippecanoe County has a checklist, in addition to the state application. It says all arrests must be admitted, regardless of outcome. The state app. asks specifically if you have any convictions. The question- is this common for counties around the state to have extra application...
