I zip tied a pork chop to the back of the live trap. I put the trap in the corner at a 45* with the back facing the corner. It was in there the next day.
I'm not sure if it's still the case but you used to get first crack at classes at the Indy Sport Boat and Travel Show. It's been several years but I got signed up there and could pretty much pick any class I wanted.
I know it's sort of fun to talk about gear, but you should know your plan. Where are you going? What's it going to take to get there? What do you have waiting there for you? etc.

With that tarp, I probably would've bunched some leaves up around the edges and put a couple of large branches or rocks to hold them down. And maybe a large downed log laying parallel to the open side of the tarp (where the camera was basically).

I've used these in a 10/22. They definitely don't cycle which I figured would be the case. With the 10 round stock mag, they cycle manually nicely. They didn't feed very well with the Ruger BX-25 mags very well.
