No problem. Rimfire is right about the ammo specs and Glocks are very well built pistols, One of the best made IMHO. Enjoy your time at the range, remember to focus on sight alignment, trigger control and most importantly safety procedures. Lastly, practice as much as possible, that way those...
Rimfire is right...I was being lazy with my figures, my bad. I believe Glocks are actually rated for +P+ ammo, so you will be fine with the Nato stuff.
You are exactly right. The 124 gr Nato round is bascially a +P round. Glocks are rated for +P/Nato rounds but of course any higher pressure round would accelerate wear on your pistol more quickly that a "standard" pressure round. Glocks are tough though and you should be able to fire a good...
I agree Vert and U.S., there is so much hype associated with goat killing or gelatin block shots, and though I find this data interesting, I'm more interested in placing my rounds in center mass if it ever came to that.
I am now using Federal 147gr JHP. These came in a plain no frills white box i have never seen before. Also, I could not find them on the Federal site so I have no idea if they are anything special aside from some basic JHP they put out?..they were 30 bucks for 50 of them.
I'm going to go out and get the Ruger P95 tomorrow. I got another chance to check it out today, feels good in my hand and the controls are right where they need to be. I like the looks of the pistol as well, and the price is good...will be under 350.00 NIB out the door. Thanks for everyone's...
Thanks for the detailed input Joe and you other guys too. I was looking through the archives and read your review of the Ruger, sounds very promising. I got a chance to hold one and it fits my hand well, I like the ambi controls and they were asking 330.00 for the blued version at MC sports...
Ok...I have a budget of about 350.00 and want to get a 9mm. I have thought about a used Glock 19, a Sigma, a Ruger P95...any thoughts you guys might have would be appreciated.
Hopefully this link will be helpful for you. I have not adjusted a rear sight on a Glock so you will have to gauge if you feel comfortable with this procedure.

Abrumlev,
Yeah not a bad price for the 147 grainers. 50 count in the box. It was just a plain white box with no elaborate logos/colors or nuthin' but it says Federal and had their corporate address in MN I have seen before. They had quite a few boxes for those interested.
Just got back from Cosner's. Nice collection of Case knives and some Benchmade and Kershaws as well. Got some Federal 147gr HPs for 30 bucks and they have Golden Sabers and a few others plus some ball ammo. The shop was neat...had a general store type feel with all the antique stuff. The...
Yeah I was just in MC buying a knife and they had lots of ball ammo, decent prices on some of it, but no HPs. I'll give Cosner's a call and see what they have...thanks.
How is their selection of folding knives? Does anyone know if they have HP ammo for a 9mm? Not picky with regard to brand...have ball in the 9 now since its all I can find around Bloomington.
Lashicon,
There is nothing wrong with working hard and earning a living. The problem that emerges is that I'm not referring to those people. Just as you say there are many who would just collect a government paycheck for doing nothing but there are many who do the same on the other end of the...
