      Quality is on par with, or above, the Japanese now. The problem is that perceptions are about 10 years behind reality in the auto world. Their problems do come from low quality and stagnant mindset, though.

      If we lower our tax rate to 10%, what stops a place like Ireland from dropping to 9%? It puts us in a race to the bottom. We can either hit 0 first, or we can engage in protectionism. We could also provide incentives, but that would be socialist.

      like the 4th amendment/Terry Stop thread from a couple of weeks ago, the answer is "it depends." Probably not, but it depends. The 4th amendment is very very fact specific.
