Food Shortages Being CREATED in Past Year

Has anybody in the US been unable to find food to purchase/eat in 2022? Waistlines say that hasn't been an issue.

      Dang cop.

That officer is cool, one of your neighbors sucks.

      Cloning MK262 the quest (kinda)

      18" rifle gas & 16" mid 223 Wylde chambers, 12.5" & 10.5" carbine 5.56 chambers. IIRC, 23.2gr XBR was/is max load for a 223 Rem Chamber with a 77gr SMK. I've run as high as 24.0gr XBR under a 77gr Nosler CC which matched BHA Mk262 velocity but couldn't maintain 5 shots into 1.5" @ 100yd prone...

      Cloning MK262 the quest (kinda)

23.5-23.8gr 8208XBR under a 75-77gr HPBT match bullet. In my experience, brass and primer didn't really matter. It'll lag BHA Mk262 by maybe 15-20fps, but be more accurate.

2023 Chevy Colorado redesign, ZR2 looks interesting

Trifecta has claimed to defeat Global B for both the Blackwings and C8 (which is a much bigger market than the Caddys). IF TRUE that'd be a total gamechanger...but their initial videos (at least for the 4-V Blackwing) showed practically zero gains over stock tune, which is odd because twin...

2023 Chevy Colorado redesign, ZR2 looks interesting

The 6th Gen Camaro can be tuned, as can the 7th gen Corvette. 14-18 Silverado 1500s can be tuned, 19+ took a while but I think the 5.3/6.2s can now be tuned with a load of HP Tuners credits. I believe the 2.7L is still locked. My 2018 ATS-V is tuneable (with 4 credits for the ECM and 4 for the...

2023 Chevy Colorado redesign, ZR2 looks interesting

All Ecoboosts can get significant gains from tuning, especially if running E85. GM engines could...but Global B ECM architecture on newer vehicles is locked down tight. C8, Blackwings, pickups, etc etc... Ford definitely has a better philosophy about owner powertrain modifications than GM...

2023 Chevy Colorado redesign, ZR2 looks interesting

L83/L84 5.3 requires 87 octane. I run 93 while towing my travel trailer - less KR gives me a warm fuzzy pulling a grade with 7k behind me - but absolutely NO BENEFIT in an empty stock truck in terms of butt dyno or fuel economy. L86/L87 requires premium fuel, at least 91 octane. Running...

2023 Chevy Colorado redesign, ZR2 looks interesting

The 2.7T will be a much better engine than the 3.6L V6. The mid output engine, which is an option on LT trim, has more torque (at a much lower RPM) than the 5.3L L84 V8 and miles more torque than the 3.6L. As a former 3.6L Colorado owner...the 2.7L is a much better engine choice. (I was under...

      Seriously Chevy Equinox

Nobody should be surprised a 1.5L engine has no smash, even if it does have a (tiny) turbo. A 2.0T Equinox would have 80hp+ on the 1.5 when running premium fuel and likely be a different experience. Certainly no X5M, but better...

      Greenwood mall shooting

      Greenwood mall shooting

If the shooter was indeed hit by Eli's first shot at 40-50 yards and it took him off his feet... And Eli did close on him and continue firing nine more times, hitting him six times, even if all six hits came from 40-50 inches away... Sounds to me like he shot to stop the threat. An active...

CNN - There's no way to fix the Second Amendment. Let's just get rid of it

Nobody cares what an 82 year old liberal pundit thinks. Nobody. That being said, I love how casually he glossed over this part: Talk about understatement of the century...good luck with that.

Some idiot put 60+-70+lbs air in wife's tires!

Proper lugnut torque is two ugga-duggas, right? This reminds me, I need to let air out of my my truck tires. They were installed in Feb and aired to 35PSI cold...now they're 39 cold and get as high as 42 driving 20 miles to work.

Where's the best wilderness fishing you've ever experienced?

Hidden Lake at Glacier National Park, 3mi hike in (downhill) and 3mi hike out (uphill). Cutthroat trout for DAYS in the clearest water I’ve ever seen…glitter black 1/8oz Rooster Tail was on fire.

      Over run by poison ivy!

I spray around my barn & pond with this stuff twice a year, in late spring and late summer; in fact its due for it after I mow next. It takes 3-4 weeks to kill poison ivy, but it does...and it really stunts future growth. Doesn't really hurt grass either, can yellow it a bit if applied heavily...

      COVID OMICRON Thread

So...virus deaths are overstated, but vaccine side effects are not? Yes, some people have had substantial negative side effects from COVID vaccination...but a lot more have had substantial disease from COVID. Is one any better or worse than the other? Depends on perspective I guess, but based...

      COVID OMICRON Thread

Billions of doses of mRNA vaccine have been administered around the globe in the last 18 months. If that cohort isn't sufficient for the safety profile to be determined and risk of significnt side effects (not talking a day or two of sore arm, headache, fever or fatigue) to be appropriately...

Amazon workers just voted to join a union

Not all union-negotiated defined benefits are controlled by unions. Defined benefits have been shed left and right through bankruptcy proceedings with nickels on the dollar paid by PBGC, though bankruptcy law changes in the late 00s have changed that business tactic a bit. Defined benefits...
