Smartest thing they did, retired the 1911AARP!
When I was in the Corps, we had some that you would do better killing someone with if you threw it at them. Many shot on other people's targets at 25 yards. They were pitiful.
That was in 1973 to 1976 though..... ;)
WAAAAAAAAY back when the SA-35 first came out, Midwest had them for $999. Granted, they were low serial numbers and kinda an oddity in that way but, not $300 worth. So, I walked over to the used case and what did I see? An SA-35! In the used area a week after they started selling them! Do you...
So, I was walking by my safe the other day and I heard my P80’s calling to me to take them out and handle them!
In a firearms kinda way…..I backslid right then and there!
I donned one of my P80 holsters, double mag pouch and carried one on my 3 mile walk last night and my 5 mile walk today...
Several options I use. Being a veteran, I get a sizable discount from two manufacturers.
Swampfox & Hi-Lux.
I run the Swampfox Justice on my P80 10mm.
I prefer a circle dot reticle though and I use the Hi-Lux TD-3C for most of those applications. I also like the Holosun 507CX2. All of the ones...
Been retired for a year now. When we had kids at home, 5 of them, one income, it was really hard to get to the range. Have been empty nesters now for 15 years or so and, I usually go to the range when she goes to the grocery store….yeah, I ain’t doing the shopping thing. Lol
I have a local range...
I don’t use a timer to make sure I BEAT a time, I use one to measure improvement. Say the drill is draw, run a Mozambique and I do it clean in 3 seconds when I start. In a month, shooting every week, I’d like to see me be able to do that same drill, with that same pistol, I less time. If I don’t...
And, sorry to have ruffled your feathers a bit, that was not my intent. I was just trying to say that your acceptance of accuracy was different than mine. I don’t shoot competition any more but all of the shooting in that drill is done from concealment too.
What I was trying to compare though is...
Sorry for this second post. Didn’t have pictures of my target on my iPad.
Those are all aimed shots, with a MRDS, @7 yards, from the course of fire shown. All from the holster.
THIS is what I was getting at. A B8 shoot n see on a Q type target that is much larger than the "A zone" at 10 yards isn’t adequate accuracy to me. I figured we had way different standards of what accuracy was.
Did you happen to use a shot timer? I’d like to know what first shot times were. Do...
