      Current LTCH Wait

      Well the place I got the electronic fingerprinting done said 7 days, local PD said six weeks. I think I'm at 3 weeks and still patiently waiting. At least I'm not in IL anymore, 3-4 months just for a title transfer for a car? Ridiculous!

      22 TCM Single stack range report

      Do they still give you a 9mm barrel with the single stack or is that the double stack only? I've thought about picking one of these up to learn some amateur gunsmithing and 1911 tuning. I was just going to find a 9mm only gun, but the 22 TCM definitely intrigues me

      Budget SHTF Firearms

      Zastava M70A, single action 9mm for a little over $200. Basically a Tokarev in 9mm, so it's a long proven design too. I'll take that over a .22lr Heritage or some cheasy looking diamondback any day!

      STI GP6

      Well I have no personal experience with one, but I like the look and the design of them. Hell, or $350 you can't really go wrong! If you don't want it I'll go buy it haha.

      Sig P320 anyone?

      I had the P250, which was the DAO hammer fired precursor to the P320. Great gun, and from what I remember you could get the caliber and size conversion kits for around $200, which is in the ballpark of most conversion barrels. The P320 is definitely on my list of future guns to buy.

      Dry fire - magazine in or out?

      You guys had me laughing so hard I'm crying haha. Whenever I dry-fire I use a snap cap in the chamber and a empty mag in the gun. Necessary? Probably not, but I can't see how it could hurt anything, I've already made sure there is no live ammo in either the gun or the mag.

      I haven't started in competition yet, but this thread has definitely helped motivate me. Now I just have to find a club near me!
