      Well we are back from FL. We got ours on Fri. Nov.28th, 2008 We mailed ours in on Oct.14, money order cashed Oct.17th. So exactly 6 weeks from cashing of money order(or 6wks, 3 days from mailing in). I'm so happy! :banana:

      Ours was cashed on Oct. 17th, so I'm right there with you Cage. It's driving us nuts because we already have our pistols, but we are going out of town for Thanksgiving and was hoping to have our permits by then. Good Luck Cage, lets see who gets theirs first.

      mailed the 14th and recieved 17th. Actually we have 2 coming. Mine and the wife's. It seems I could recieve them anytime between now and 1st week of Dec. Hoping sooner than later, why is it such a stressful wait?

      paid $1 for each at post office. Sent as: first class large envelope. Maybe they are nice and just mailed it for you and didn't worry about the postage.

      Yes I just walked from sheriffs office over to post office to mail ours in. The process for us was: Go to Sheriffs office, pay $50 cash/check for each person. Then finger printed and background check. Left Sheriffs office with large envelope addressed to ISP, had to put in a $75 money...

      Yeah Rev. I called Friday October 7th. She said they were still around 5-6 weeks turn around. But said since it had only been around 3 weeks, it wasn't in her office yet. And was told I could check back in 2 weeks. I figure I'll call next Fri. Oct.21st. It will be 5 weeks since they cashed money...

      Well we have made the trip many times in the past without carrying anything. What's 1 more time, wouldn't want to risk getting them revoked, before even recieving them. Worst case scenario would be that they are here waiting on us when we get home.:):

      Just a question I want to throw out there. What if you find out your permit was approved and sent out, but you need to travel out of state before you actually recieve it. Would or could you carry on your trip? If caught, would it be a big deal if you don't have your pink slip, or could...

      Lifetime Permit!

      Congrats, we sent ours off on Oct.14, and am anxious to see if we get them before we travel over Thanksgiving. It will be 6 wks exactly from the day we mailed in to the day we leave.

      Well it's been 4 weeks now. I was curious if anyone who applied in October had gotten their permit yet? Also is there anyone out there who applied in September, that is still waiting? Thanks. Hope to get ours soon.

      Well they said maybe. Said they are running at 5-6wks right now. I'll just have to wait it out and see what happens.

      Thanks! So you have them in hand now? So 7 weeks? Damn, It will be 5 weeks from the day we mailed in, to the day we are leaving. Not looking good, most have been 5wks+ lately.
