Dang, whats the black Friday sale going to be? I couldn't wait that long anyway. I just placed my order for Del-Ton kit today through Midway. Coupon code gets you an extra $50 off your order. Got the M4 16" carbine kit with chrome for $469 + options minus discount...
I have heard great reviews...
I drove two 99 Tahoes up to 200,000 each, bought an 04 Tahoe and took it to 276,000, and now I have an 08 Yukon XL... 118,000 and rising.
very few problems btw. LOVE AMERICAN.
had an 04 745Li BMW and it crapped out once a month with well under 100K on it.
Yeah, I say we just bomb the heck out of them. Send out fliers first warning civillians to leave, then unleash heck. Destroy any military site they have, set up a couple US bases and move on.
Would prefer not to say, the post isn't a bash, it was just an observation to stir discussion and figure out if I was in the minority or otherwise. I will PM you if you would really like to know.
I will say that "custom" was in his company name. I assume he's at all the shows.
check out AR15.Com - Your Firearm Resource. (AR-15, AR-10, M4 Carbine, M16, H&K, SIG, FNH, FAL, AK-47, 50 Cal, M1/M1A, Handgun, Pistol, Training, Hunting, and More!) there are a bunch of reviews there. I just bought a lower and the finish looks awesome. I really don't understand why a nano-meter...
I think one of the best ways to prep is to know your neighbors. Ours know us and I don't think we are a soft target in any of their eyes. Kind of like our country, perceived power is much more useful than actual capability. I don't agree with bragging about your capability or displays of power.
This economy is strange, my company is more profitable than ever before, but our sales are down. We are working less and making more. A ferrari at a goodwill is a little more strange, but people are definitely still making lots of money out there!
Yeah, it doesn't help that I was there with another guy that I brought that just kept telling me to "just buy it". I waited until the guys are the booth were done talking, thanked them and then told them I will be looking elsewhere. They were shocked.
Still pretty stoked about building an AR...
I got a Del-Ton stripped lower for $80+tax... good deal if you look at their website, but by no means a steal upon further inspection. Plus the $10 entry fee. I made out ok for a first purchase I guess. Got to see it instead of just buying online.
Yeah, would much rather just deal with people on here. I'm still about 48 posts away from that though. Wish there was another way to weed out spammers. I have money burning a hole in my pocket!
It rocks the ship, depending on what it is. Will blow your ear drums completely out, bruise your brain.
I saw a couple water cooled WWI (?) automatics at a booth for around $35,000 at the 1500. There was a pair of consecutive M-60s there for I think $45,000.
Did anyone see the Japanese...
I went to a "custom" AR guy and the head guy was eating his lunch I guess so one of his employees was talking to me. I had just purchased my stripped lower which I think qualified me. The sales guy didn't know pricing on anything and kept deferring to the owner. So they told me $65 for a lower...
Was searching to build my first AR or find a used one so I went to the showing after extensively researching. All the used ones were more than new and all the new ones we more expensive than they are directly from MFR online... Do they just expect you to negotiate? Seems like a lot of vendors...
This is a great site!! Tons of locals, kind of unusual for a "hobby" forum. How's the Greenfield gun show usually? Looks like its coming up next weekend?
Have you spoken with a local shop about buying parts online for you? Supports them and could possibly be cheaper for you even after shipping. Local shops get dealer discounts from what I understand and can pass some savings on to you.
