And the "transfer" INTO the trust is what I thought....
So you pay the $400 for the TRUST, and THEN another $200/ item to transfer from myself TO the trust.... Is that right.... so $1000 to do A trust and three (3) cans.... So how long does the "form 4" take? The nine (9) + months it's taking...
I have load data on a 308 subsonic, but can't find any Hodgdon CLAYS... any body seen any out there for sale?
OR..... If you have a good subsonic load, would you mind sharing?
Thanks.
So.... IF you do a trust.... AT THIS TIME, you skip all the up front paper work, pictures, etc? If for some "odd" reason you wanted to make a purchase that was NOT in the trust, can you still do that, or would you be required to purchase it through the trust?
I have a couple cans, and my dad...
Thanks again guys.... it's definitely a gray area you don't want to get caught in by the wrong folks... I'll stick to a straight buffer tube for now and maybe do the picture thing to the ATF, definitely worth asking BEFORE you get questioned.
So anything that would facilitate "firing from the shoulder" would be considered a "stock"..... Now that I wrote that, I know it sounds a little stupid, because if it does that, it would be more of a "rifle" than a "pistol"....
'Nough said....
Thanks for the reply....
Okay folks... I need help here... I recently built a couple of AR PISTOLS.... the questions is, can ANYTHING be added to the buffer tube that will still keep it a "pistol"? I have seen foam covers, and SIG makes interesting piece that wraps around ones arm... I was thinking about attaching a...
MY 2 cents (from experience) buy the largest caliber can you want to shoot.... they will still work on the smaller calibers fairly effectively... IE - buy a 308 and use it on 223, 22, etc...buy a 45 and use it on 40, 9mm, 22, etc... granted you can buy a 22 can that is extremely light, but I...
Hey Guys,
Watch the fact that MOST 9mm, 1911 barrels are ramped differently than the 45, and that MOST frames are NOT relieved for this.....
Just something to watch - don't want you to get stuck with a barrel that won't fit your frame.
Good luck.
Well..... re-blueing and Duracoating are two different things... Re-blueing is chemical process that requires all metal to be taken down to "raw" form. The Duracoat, they actual sandblast it, then apply, for lack of better terms, paint.
Make sure you clarify.... it has been a while back, so...
If you're considering Duracoat, make sure you have them explain the different finishes.... they range from about a "parkerized" to a "gloss".... unfortunately, I can't remember what I got (nice, I know), but it's a semi-gloss/satin, for lack of better description.
Seems to be fairly durable...
Find a buddy that has one....it's pretty cool when you shoot a 308 and all you hear are the firing pin drop, a little recoil, and the thump....it's pretty cool.
Just one of those "things" that so many of us have.... "just because".
Have a great weekend.
Have you shot one?
Things that go click...THUMP, are as cool (or cooler) than things that go BANG...THUMP.
Besides $35+ dollars a box makes one want to find another way to feed their "habit".
Anybody out there have a decent subsonic load for a 308? Shooting through a 20" Remmy 700 and Yankee can....
Can't find any good load data... if you don't have data, but the name of a good reference, that'd be great too.
Thanks.
Hey to ALL on INGO. I've been watching the website for quite a while, never too big on forums or discussions, so I haven't "formally" introduced myself... but have seen some interesting things and thought I better get started.
Seems like a great place to belong....thanks for the invite.
