I think I had that exact same guy try and buy the $10 desk I was selling on craigslist earlier this year. didn't ask for the weed trade but did want me to drive 90 minutes and drop the $10 item down to $8. I said thanks but no thanks I'll put it in the trash before I drive 90 minutes for 8 bucks.
Definitely a lot more traceable that's for sure, I did a little looking on his profile before I drove there and he'd been on FB for like 7 years or so. Definitely didn't seem like it was just a burner profile or something crazy like that.
Update on the BTF w/ the G17. The Glock regional rep or regional armorer or something like that was at the Jenkins Glock days event. There was also a lady that was helping him with the rush of night site installs and such that I think she said she worked at the IMPD Range (or armory?). The...
Well I made it there to pick up the parts and made it home safely. Obviously I was concerned for my safety during this event but as I pulled up the address there was maybe a 10-12 year old boy at the edge of the garage. Kind of looked like he was trying to build a wooden go-kart or something...
I was surfing through FB marketplace this morning and found something I can't live without for my truck, hey it happens. So I message the guy selling it and we agree on a price. I say hey I can pick up today if that works and his response, "I'm heading out of today for rest of the week, I'll...
A buddy of mine is blue label so he's going into Jenkins today to buy a new glock or two during their glock day event and I'm going to tag along. They're supposed to have a glock factory rep there to look over things. I'll take my 17 with me and have them take a quick peek to see if it's...
Our son is just a few weeks into the IMPD academy. I'm contemplating getting him a BUG or EDC once he graduates the academy. I'd love to see what his soon to be fellow officers are carrying so as to have some additional ideas aside from the current thought of G26 or G43. Thanks!
Even with a ramp that wide I would still guess there'd be a few guys that would still back in their truck/trailer so crooked that they'd take up the whole ramp.
I was kind of thinking the same thing, where'd all the extra factory mags go to...haha. They seem to have some lots of 10 used mags for some of the glocks that didn't seem terribly priced but all seemed sold out yesterday when I looked.
Definitely have the Atlanta IN match on my calendar. And I plan to sign up for all the free gun raffles I can this weekend, 30th anniversary, new shooter, and whatever else they offer.
Thanks for the insight guys.
.
That's kind of what I'm thinking might happen as a lot of the personally owned backup G27's will get sold (or traded in) to fund the purchase of a new 9mm backup like a G26 or I guess even a G43 since it will at least now be a common 9mm ammo. But I dunno if it was me I would really like...
It was an indoor range, it could have been a ricochet - hard to tell after the fact I guess. I do have plans to shoot once or twice more before this weekend's event and at least one of those times should be outdoors. Or at minimum I should have a friend with me this time to at least watch from...
I chatted w/ these guys via email today. It's an hour or two drive from here but probably worth it to hand pick the gun and not have to pay for shipping and an FFL transfer w/ local dealer.
I'll give it a look. I got one of the hot rounds stuck right under my safety glasses and my face and put a nice little burnt spot on the old noggin. definitely hope to get this figured out before too many more scars. Ha!
So will there be a flood of used Glock .40s hitting the Indy market in the coming months as IMPD switches over to 9mm, i.e. if I'm even remotely interested in a Glock 22, 23 or 27 does it make sense to wait a few more months until the department and possibly personal trade-ins hit the market...
