I don't think I would want to drive any where anyway. If an EMP event occurred I would stay at home.
Will a generator survive an EMP if it is not plugged in?
+1 on that. Just got a fobus roto paddle. Was very disappointed with the overly strong retention and no adjustment! On the 7th or 8th draw practicing the holster, gun and all came out of my pants. :noway:
I just did the hair dryer fix you mentioned. Much, much better. Although I will not buy...
I just ordered one from 511. It is 1.75" leather casual belt with an insert they call permastiff. (kind of a funny name, makes me think back to my honeymoon.) It was around $40 plus shipping. Looking forward to trying it out with my daily carry. I'm not sure how it would compare to a comp-tac...
First off, this is only my opinion. For what it's worth. I took the same class back on 7-31. Great class, your are in for a awesome day of training! I plan to take Matt's Carbine #2 also.
I had the same exact thoughts on gear set up. Daily carry or LBV with cross draw holster? I finally...
When I run I carry a NAA .22 revolver. NAA makes a clip type holster that attaches securely and doesn't move around. It's very light and I figure it's better than nothing.
I have dry fired my 9mm thousands of times with no issues, then was told I should be using dummy rounds. Maybe. I just ordered some. But as I said before, no problems yet.
It is unfortunate that the city government has decided to take the same failed policies of new york, chicago, washington dc, etc. And we will end up with the same results. More victims and more crime.
I like all the Ruger P series. I had a p90dc once. Very reliable. I sold it and bought a p95. Personally I just prefer 9mm. Shoots great but you can't change grips is the only drawback. Rugers are great guns for the money.:twocents:
Thanks to Coach and RCC for putting this on. It was my first time. I had a great time and the best part was meeting all the other shooters. Everyone was friendly and helpful to this newby.
Looking forward to the next one.:yesway:
This rings true for me also. My family has it's roots in Indiana farming. I prep for my own peace of mind. Not for any other reason. I want to be able to take care of my family. I also feel it also shows respect for the previous generations of my family.
Thanks for the info. One more question. What are the specific distances we will be shooting from? And can I run my daily carry? It is definitely not a speed gun.
I guess that was two questions...
I see two different times for steel shooting on the same date after reading RCC's website. One at 10am another and 2pm. Are these two different events? Or has the 2pm time been changed to 10am?
Sorry about my ignorance, I have not been to RCC before. Thanks.
I ran a cross draw load bearing vest for the first time. While it was not perfect but the positives definitively outweighed the negatives.
Positives=It held my side arm, 120 rounds of 762* 39, and up to 5 mags for my 9mm very comfortably. I much prefer carrying this way as opposed to...
It was there, then it was gone. Not sure why. If there was a problem, no one pm'd me about it. ???? I'll try again
Thanks for taking the video, it looked totally cool. :yesway:
Great class. A big thanks to Matt, Justin and Brandi for putting it on. I think the rain ended up being a good thing to see how my system worked under less than perfect conditions. And yes, I was the crazy AK guy. (as they say, there's on in every crowd :D)
I ran an Arsenal SLR95 AK47...
