The Great FFL Transfer Fiasco of 2014. (Details still unfolding)

Because this is a firearm forum, and this was a firearm shipment complete with all of the legal issues that come with them. What better place is there to ask for advice than a forum with thousands of members, most of which have probably done one or more online firearms purchases, and have likely...

The Great FFL Transfer Fiasco of 2014. (Details still unfolding)

I really don't see anywhere where I "called out" the FFL. Up until this last page the entire conversation had to do with FedEx, not the dealer. The only thing I "called out" the dealer on was the fact that I was initially told that I didn't need to make any special arrangements, then was told by...

The Great FFL Transfer Fiasco of 2014. (Details still unfolding)

Your understanding is incorrect. Sorry, but if you read the thread you are commenting on you would know that this all started because I did talk to them before purchasing the gun, and I was told that there was no need to notify them or make any special arrangements, just have the gun shipped to...

Oh man that thread was full of delicious

Dang, I only got half way through it. Why oh why must these fun threads get deleted? Is a lock not sufficient?

The Great FFL Transfer Fiasco of 2014. (Details still unfolding)

Let me be clear, this thread was meant to express my frustration with FedEx more than with ZR Tactical. Yes, I spoke to them on the phone before purchasing the gun, but I was not told to forward any tracking information to them, I was explicitly told that I did not need to make any arrangements...

The Future (or past) of 7n6 5.45x39.

The people on this thread that are saying it's no big deal because only the armor piercing stuff is being banned clearly don't know anything about 5.45X39. The "armor piercing" steel core stuff is the only surplus there is. The only other ammo available is new production at at least 50% higher...

The Great FFL Transfer Fiasco of 2014. (Details still unfolding)

Alright, I got in touch with the dealer. They have people at the shop during the day Wed-Fri, but not Mon/Tue. So I think this problem will be avoided assuming someone is there early enough tomorrow morning. We'll see how it goes.

The Great FFL Transfer Fiasco of 2014. (Details still unfolding)

The FFL is a preferred dealer with CDNN sports, the company that I bought the firearm from. When I spoke to the FFL on the phone before I purchased the gun they said that no special arrangements needed to be made, and that I should just have the gun sent to their address. I have not been able to...

The Great FFL Transfer Fiasco of 2014. (Details still unfolding)

I'll give the FFL a call when he opens at 6:00 and see about this whole authorizing me as the courier thing.

Would that not be a serious liability on their part?

The Great FFL Transfer Fiasco of 2014. (Details still unfolding)

FedEx says that it is being sent via Express shipping which is why it doesn't qualify for late delivery.

The Great FFL Transfer Fiasco of 2014. (Details still unfolding)

The (Not so) Great Firearm Shipment Snafu of 2014 (Update: It's all good!) UPDATE: They accepted the package today and I picked up the gun earlier tonight. As it turns out they only have people at the shop during the day Wednesday-Friday, so it just needed to be redelivered this morning. It...

      Academy Sports coming to Evansville

Academy is my favorite large sporting goods store. Think Gander but with reasonable to really good prices. I make sure to stop by one every time I visit my family in Arkansas.

What was wrong with the ISP G21's?

I'm curious why that is. What advantage is there to a mag that requires two hands to remove?

      Go Idaho!

Well then it wouldn't really be constitutional carry. I'm all for actual constitutional carry though.

      H.R. 2959, the Right-to-Carry Reciprocity Act of 2013

What about states that have constitutional carry and either do not, or likely will not, have a license to issue. Are citizens of those states SOL? This bothers me because it essentially sets in stone, on the federal level, that licenses and permits are the standard for restriction of the 2A...

House bill would grant universal concealed-carry reciprocity in all 50 states

I'm thinking national constitutional carry would be a much nicer option.

What non glock pistol do you carry?

I carry a S&W 6906 every single day. It's never failed me yet.

Military buget cut proposals would take US to 1940 troop levels.

Trust me, I'm no fan of the F-35, but the fact is that unless it is canceled and replaced by resumed F-22 production or a new design entirely, we will ultimately have an unbelievably huge fleet of them. Far outnumbering our rivals regardless of whether it is technically superior to them or not...
