As I understand it the Citadel's are made in the same plant in the Phillipines by Armscor who make Rock Island Armory among others. Others have said it is similar to the RIA Tactical models, so an upgraded RIA.
The fit and finish is pretty damn good for a $500.00 pistol. I am a tool and die...

One of the compaints I have heard about the Taurus is about the bluing and some problems with it wearing thin quickly. Mine is a stainless model so I don't have to worry about that problem. I would recommend you doing the same. JMHO
LOL Thompal. Not trying to change anyone's mind, just reporting my personal experience.
They just feel right even if they don't cost $1,000.00 plus. And while I have never shot an Ed Brown or Wilson Custom, I have shot Kimbers and owned a couple of the higher dollar Springfields.
After reading all the horror stories about the Auto Ordnance especially, I was prepared for the worst, but I went ahead and got it because I liked the look of the WW2 model that they came out with.
