      Model 14 .35 rem

It's a shame that so many nice 14s and 141s have been buggered with those awful side mount screw holes. I found a cherry 141 at the last Evansville show but the price was more than I could bear

      Knives You Will Never Sell

My Queen Steel#39, Mom and Dad gave it to me for Christmas the first year my wife and I were married 51 years ago. I only carry it during deer season and it's taken care of who knows how many deer.

Need help with my gun locker

Well I found the answer to my gun locker problem. On of the two new nine volt batteries I had on hand was bad, both were new right out of the package. As a last resort I tried the second battery and BINGO it opened right up. I should have tried it sooner, I will next time if it ever happens again.

Need help with my gun locker

My Remington Express gun locker has decided it doesn't want to open. There's a provision to open it when the keyboard battery is dead but that isn't working. I've had it long enough that the owners manual has gone to never never land. Anyone else have one with the owners manual? It blinks a...

      Marlin 4570

I have the same scope on my '95. It's a wide field and it works well for my use, deer hunting. The scope was a gift from a late friend and was as new.

.17 HMR is it your favorite cartridge too? What's your best rifle & ammo?

Not a fan, it's expensive, loud, too powerful for small game, and under powered for larger critters. Give me the plain old .22 long rifle.

      Eley 17 M2

I was afraid that was the case. CCi is good, we'll make due with that and hoard the few boxes of Eley I have left. Thanks for the replies.

      Eley 17 M2

Yes they did and I guess that's my best shot but the Eley ammo shot tighter groups in my rifle.

      Eley 17 M2

I've been looking online for Eley 17 M2 without any luck. I'm beginning to think they no longer produce it. Does anyone know if this is the case?

      Savage 555 16 Gauge

I love the 16, too bad shells are hard to find and expensive.

Mountain Lion in Brown County this time

It's weird that the DNR works so hard to dispute claims of big cat sightings. I had a DNR employee tell me in a round about manner that they were some how involved.

Smokin' deal on a Kimber Custom ll GFO 10mm

      $640 for a black 10mm if any body's interested. SMGA.com. I guess I'll pass.

Smokin' deal on a Kimber Custom ll GFO 10mm

Must not be much love for the Kimber, only one reply. I'm glad I didn't jump on the deal.

Smokin' deal on a Kimber Custom ll GFO 10mm

What is the opinion of the learned folks here? I have read that Kimber Quality is not what it once was and I don't often see them mentioned here. There's also a deal on the same in .45acp. I've got the hots for a 1911 but don't want make a novice mistake just because it's cheap.

      I should have known better....

Beautiful rifle, it reminds me of the H&R model 12 I got from the CMP. It was the same as new and shot lights out but was just too dang heavy for my intended purpose.

      Landowner Exemption Conservation Officer Visit

The state is losing money because they dipped into the funds from lifetime license sales, plus there's no new money coming in from lifetime license holders. Hunter numbers are declining so less funds from lost license sales. With less money coming in they are looking to close or at least police...

I think I've found him one on Gun Broker, we shall see if it works out.

      Your First Handgun

Ruger Mk1 standard my wife got me our first Christmas after we were married 50+ years ago. I've still got it and it still shoots great.
