      My Queen Steel#39, Mom and Dad gave it to me for Christmas the first year my wife and I were married 51 years ago. I only carry it during deer season and it's taken care of who knows how many deer.

      Need help with my gun locker

      Well I found the answer to my gun locker problem. On of the two new nine volt batteries I had on hand was bad, both were new right out of the package. As a last resort I tried the second battery and BINGO it opened right up. I should have tried it sooner, I will next time if it ever happens again.

      Marlin 4570

      I have the same scope on my '95. It's a wide field and it works well for my use, deer hunting. The scope was a gift from a late friend and was as new.

      Not a fan, it's expensive, loud, too powerful for small game, and under powered for larger critters. Give me the plain old .22 long rifle.

      Yes they did and I guess that's my best shot but the Eley ammo shot tighter groups in my rifle.

      What is the opinion of the learned folks here? I have read that Kimber Quality is not what it once was and I don't often see them mentioned here. There's also a deal on the same in .45acp. I've got the hots for a 1911 but don't want make a novice mistake just because it's cheap.

      I should have known better....

      Beautiful rifle, it reminds me of the H&R model 12 I got from the CMP. It was the same as new and shot lights out but was just too dang heavy for my intended purpose.

      Ruger Mk1 standard my wife got me our first Christmas after we were married 50+ years ago. I've still got it and it still shoots great.
