I just spent an hour online looking for these bullets. I know they're hard to find but somebody's bound to have some. Anybody? And no, I'm not paying $1.00 apiece for them like that joker on Gun Broker is asking. Thanks
Turkeys are hard to come by in my neck of the woods, and if I trick one I aim to kill it. Therefore, I use the best killer I could find, an 870 super mag, Bushnell red dot, Indian Creek choke tube, and Hevi Shot # 6s. 50 yd. shots are "ho hum"!
I've never needed snake boots before but an up comming Florida turkey trip makes them a much needed item. Does anyone have a favorite? Gore Tex lined is a necessary option. Thanks, TT

Good shootin' and good luck with the hair test. Our county didn't make the bonus this year. Last year I hair tested my 45/70 1.8', it passed with flyin' colors! I'll have to wait till next year to hair test my 35 Remington short.

Thanks David, I found a gentleman who had a few extra and we worked out a deal. Hopefully I'll have enough to last untill Remington decides to make some more.
Your not the first person to ask this question and the answer is no, it's not true. As long as the cartridge meets the legal specs it's legal. If that were true I'd be a law breaker!
djones and others have loaded and successfully used a shortened 45-70 to harvest a deer. There should be a lengthly topic on the subject just a few pages back.
