      Educate me on scope bases and rings for my new Remington 700

      My new favorite comBo on my recent 700s is an Extreme Hardcore 1 piece base with Vortex matched rings. I get the mount with the built in level, just my preference over one hanging off the scope.

      Where to find 22lr in Ohio

      When I was up in the northern part of the state a few months ago, I found 22lr at about every sporting goods store around (dicks, cabelas, gander mountain, bass pro). Even found a few buckets o bullets and cci big packs. Not sure as of the availibility now but I'd try everywhere that sells it

      Mowing the lawn... how to spend less time!

      I have a grasshopper 720 with the 61" deck and I can mow 1.5 acres in about 35 min. If you can afford it, I would go with a front mounted deck. They are more maneuverable if you have low hanging trees/bushes that you can get under. Just make sure you stick with a kohler or kawasaki, have both...

      Remington 597 Stock Options

      Not sure if she's into the AR look, but you might find a VTR setup for it. Haven't looked around for one recently, but I currently own a 597 VTR and I like how it balances and how it can take AR type stocks and foregrips.

      Powders, accuracy, and opinions

      WST is my go-to for 9, 40, and 45. Accuracy wise out of the 40 and 45 is top notch, 9mm I haven't had a chance to prove it yet accuracy wise but it seems on par with the others. All of the above rounds are loaded with S'N'S cast bullets at nominal velocities for firearm function.

      You'll need something to undercut the threads as well. As your threading tool won't cut right to a square shoulder. A good carbide threading tool will go along way versus a high speed steel one. I'd also recommend getting a Machinery Handbook. It has just about everything you would need to know...
