NRA Range Safety Officer Course - Fishers

I took the NRA Range Safety Officer course at IndyGunSafety and learned more than I ever thought I could learn about gun safety. I especially appreciated the practical exercises on clearing stoppages & malfunctions. Been a shooter my whole life and thought I knew it all...HA! Randy is a great...

      Favorite fishing lure...

Ditto on the Medium size jointed Rap. I like the J-9 the best. I carry probably a dozen of different colors in my tackle box. Killer on bass & Northern Pike.

The new laws and County Fairgrounds?

The State DOES indeed own the fairgrounds and they have a strict NO GUN policy but it's an insurance thing. I've been throught his with the Superintendent and that's the story why you must disarm yourself while hundreds of others at the 1500 are armed to the teeth. Of course, THEY shoot...

      Pistol belt confusion

I agree with The Beltman. get a good leather belt, it will hold up much longer. I've had my Beltman belt 9 years and it's like new and I wear it every day with a pair of Perry belt suspenders, a 3" Kimber .45, knife and tac-light. Wouldn't go any other way now.

Wife brought a tear to my eye today!

My wife asked me: "WHY do you need so many guns, you only shoot one at a time". So I asked her: "WHY do you need so many shoes, you only wear one pair at a time". Now I ask you, WHY is MY question stupid, and HERS isn't?

      Belts for CC

Agree on the 1500. Got mine from Beltman as well. 2.1/4 inch and heavy enough to handle my Kimber .45.

Just filled out my first 4473

My first rifle as a youngster was a Rem33, single shot. It's probably 45 years old and both my kids grew up learning how to shoot with it as did I. Treat her right and she'll be with you a long time..

Hush Shoot Door prizes. Winner Is?????????

I won another INGO sticker BUT I also met the (in)famous ESRICE, Evan and a bunch of other INGO site folks and got to watch some wicked hushed shooting. Perfect day for it! Thanks for putting it on, I know those are a lot of work that no one sees. If you're not a "Site supporter", you should...

Ronnie, I left you a positive feedback, please do the same for me. Are you still interested in the Mossburg 500? I need to know because it is going on the block Sat morning. If you want it, I'll save it for you. $200 for both barrels and both stocks.

      OPening set-up

two issues: when I post (as in a positive feedback for private deal), all the other posts have a downward pointing arrow,(as in sucessive threads) mine don't and my message envelope is closed, everyone else is open. Am I doing something wrong? Also, can you please set my opening page up to the...

witnessed fridays AD from 3 feet away.

HUNDREDS of exhibitors, dozens of metro's finest, various police agencies, sheriffs, marshalls, conservation officers etc, all armed to the teeth, but they make law abiding LTCH holders disarm themselves completely. I was there, The announcer said "It's always the exhibitors, never the...

      IWB Holster

IMO you can't beat a Crossbreed Supertuck coupled with a good gun belt. I added Perry suspenders (which hook to your belt) because I carry a Kimber .45, a taclight and a clip-knife. I hardly feel the weapon and I'm not always adjusting for its weight. Thanks to Jim Floyd at DPG for the idea.

      Accused Child Molester's Life Ruined

As a teacher, I'll tell you one thing for CERTAIN, in cases of reported abuse, sexual or other-wise, the school AND the prosecutors will initially believe the child. We're talking probably 100% of the time. The teacher's career is over. Being acquitted means nothing except he wont be going...

      The Open Carry Argument

Wow! LOTS of talk. I read every word of the article, including the "Blue Letter" segments then re-read the entire thing a few days later. While I generally CC, I'm not married to it and have OC'd on occassion. I will add though that I have only been hassled ONCE for open carry, ONCE!! and that...

      Word is not bond

So we can put this one to bed. In the end, you are getting yourself a Kimber so you're comming out ahead no matter what happened, you still win. Next time, sell your gun on INGO, take the cash (the KING) and go buy what you want.

      My new 1911

You can't go wrong with a Kimber. I've had 4, still have one as a carry gun and I love it. Shooting it is the most fun you can have without taking off your pants.
