Heck of a way to end the season selinoid! Nice looking buck. I'm in the same boat as you landon, except I got the bundle. Still time left with late archery and muzzleloader.
I was out hunting in Boone county when I got a text from my dad saying he'd gotten a doe. Funny thing was that he wasn't even really out hunting. He had been out in the garage and looked out and happened to the see the deer in the field. He was able to get within range of it and put a perfect...
I love a good leather holster. I've got a couple from Brandon at S&S holsters in Utah that are really nice. The holster in the picture is my iwb holster from S&S after I first received it. Also have a bunch of galco holsters that wear really well.
Check out some of the offerings from helle. They are made from triple laminated stainless, and mine seems to hold an edge really well. I believe the model I have is the safari, which was discontinued, but looks a lot like their current gt model. They may be a bit over your $100 price range...
I had a great experience with Brous Blades today. I had recently received a Brous bmt keychain tool as a gift from one of my students. He and his dad are quite fond of quality knives, as am I, so we had that to talk about. This 12 year old has good taste and knows his stuff too, as he knows...
Very well put. I occasionally carry my governor when out scouting or hunting, but understand its limitations while carrying it. Like previously stated, definitely don't feel "naked against the forces of evil" while carrying it. QUOTE=IndyDave1776;6165060]Occasional hyperbole aside, I don't...
That's some impressive woo.... That might not sound quite right. :) Nice collection of handle material. Can't wait to see what you come up with blade wise to go with it.
I had this happen to me about three times within about a half hour or so last year. Started before first light and went on till a bit after shooting light. Weirdest thing I've had happen in the woods.
That has to be one of the most entertaining stories I've read on INGO! Also a really cool video. That guy was persistent and it paid off, though I really didn't expect him to walk away from it unscathed.
I got one of these for my mom as a joke years ago. She was always complaining about the ladybugs stinking up her vacuum. Turns out the thing works really well and she has since ordered a second one after wearing out her first.
In Boone county and I've got three rubs that I can see from the stand I'm currently sitting in that weren't there last weekend. Did not see any scrapes walking in, but did see a small buck that was bedded down in some briars behind my stand.
"Nighthaxen" on blade forums makes some really cool ones that he calls lime cutters. Some have a bottle opener on one one end and some do not. I've been trying to get my hands on one for a while now, but they sell out really quick. They also come with a nice pocket sheath that his wife makes.
