      Cheapest Bulk Ammo...

Maybe try Reliant Ammo? Reliant Ammo USA Purchased some about a month ago but still haven't tried it yet. Best price I've found for .44 Mag, though it looks like the prices may have increased slightly since my order...

      Reliant Ammo USA

Received Ammo The order arrived today. Shipped UPS ground and took about a week. Main box was sturdy and well taped. Normal brown paper filler, well packed and seemed secure. Order was filled correctly, all ammo accounted for, though I didn't actually go through and count the loose...

      I got Ants

+1. Had some tiny little red grease ants in the kitchen a couple years ago. A few sprays of Home Defense and they were gone. They were the smallest ants I've ever seen.

      Reliant Ammo USA

Has anyone tried Reliant Ammo before? Reliant Ammo USA Did a search and didn't find anything. Went ahead and placed an order for a couple boxes of .380, .40, and .44 Mag. Some prices are average or just ok, but some calibers seem like a pretty solid deal. The .44 Mag ammo for $22/box was...

What's your opinion on Appendix Carry?

Nice. :): Me either. Seriously though, don't personally care for appendix carry, find it uncomfortable. Maybe I'm doing something wrong? Looks like maybe it needs to ride higher above the belt. Have to do some more experimenting...

Do you tend to buy guns that share ammo or get one of each?

Currently own .40, .44, and .380 handguns. I tend to stick to the same calibers when possible, but am slowly diversifying as the collection grows. I've considered purchasing a 9mm conversion barrel to enable cheaper range sessions, but at this point don't see myself ever getting into .45ACP (of...

      Anyone drive a Subaru Outback?

The GF has a 2010 Subaru Legacy with the 2.5L and CVT. She averages about 30MPG, which I find impressive for a decent sized sedan with AWD. If I didn't need a truck, I would probably own a Subaru.

Best board games, group party games?

We've been on a Scrabble kck lately. Bought the deluxe version of the game and the official Scrabble dictionary, totally worth it. Apples to Apples was fun, and we just tried "LOGO" a couple weeks ago, also a fun game, kind of an updated Trivial Pursuit.

      WI diary

I grew up and lived in Northern Wisconsin for 18 years and absolutely loved it. I'd still be there but a lack of jobs up there brought me to Indiana. I actually thought the general healthcare was superior in WI to what I've experienced here in Indiana, unless one requires specialized...

      Wisconsin carry

This is what I do. I just got back from my annual Holiday vacation in WI. To avoid Chicago, I always take I74 over to Bloomington, then up I39. Couple observations from this trip: 1.) The toll in Rockford jumped from $1.00 to $1.90. 2.) Being able to CC in WI is great, but actually having to...

      TCP or LCP

Was finally able to get out and shoot my new TCP a couple days ago. Put 50 rounds of Federal 95g FMJ through it without a single failure. Haven't tried any other ammo yet. Got mine at Cheaperthandirt: 59325 - Taurus 738 TCP Semi Automatic Handgun .380 ACP 3.3" Barrel 6 Rounds Black Polymer...

Best hand guns for under $300?

As others have stated, Taurus has many options around that price point. Alternatively, my first semi-auto was a Smith & Wesson Sigma in .40, and it was a nice first gun. Yes, the trigger is heavy and gritty, but it's very reliable and ate everything I fed it. I eventually upgraded to more...

44 Mag versus 12 ga ballistics

      Wow, very cool. Thanks!

      What was your first Handgun?

First handgun I ever purchased was a Taurus 44SS6 (.44 Mag/6") as a sidearm for a bow hunting trip out west. A short three years later and that number has grown to five! Still have the first Taurus, and am considering adding a scope and trying it as a hunting pistol.
