has anyone had decent luck mounting optics on an M1A, specifically a SOCOM II? I picked one up for a decent deal last week but.. I'm unsure what to put on top of it exactly.
iron sights has a superb cheek weld but I've tried mounting my EOTech on it.. as well as a Bushnell Red Dot I had laying...
i picked up parts to assemble an A2 today.. i'm accustomed to carbines and this is my first rifle, so I'm unfamiliar with everything.
the seller helped me assemble a kit to complete the firearm but since I had to change the build plans due to what was available.. i got a tad bit confused.
wtf...
i was informed today that retro uppers are pretty damn scarce.. and expensive.. or at least the seller said. will want more research on this matter.
so.. no retro rifle for now. i did pick up parts to make an A2 tho... as well as an underfolding stock for my WASR.
side note - they confiscated...
I've had a lower sitting around forever, I've tossed around what I'm going to do with it and finally decided on an old M16 retro replica.
i've a couple really specific questions -
the upper I know does not have forward assist or brass deflector, but does it have a dust cover?
the buttstock -...
my old man gave me an M1 carbine for christmas (hugely awesome move btw) and i'm chasing down the history on it.
i have figured out already that it was an Inland made in early-mid 44. the stock is in good condition but looks like it was soaked in some kind of oil, which i hope to bring out...
i decided today would be a good day to go shopping for guns, and i set out without much specific in mind. i mostly knew i wanted something along the lines of a toy, something stupid and impractical. on the high end of that spectrum i considered a vector .45 at approaching 2 grand, and knowing i...
i finally got around to dealing with this. thanks for the help, i never noticed the baseplate button. came out fine and cycled just fine, manually, even with the same ammo. i did notice the offending round had a primer strike but it still cycled.
i'm still wondering why this happened? i'm not...
baseplate is plastic, and i'm fairly certain if I pry it off i'll ruin the mag. if that is my last recourse than so be it, i will do so. i was hoping to save the mag as its the only one i have. i can pick up others yes i'm sure - i don't care much about the ammo, i can buy that as well. i was...
for ages ive had a P32 sitting around in my safe.. which ive decided to carry more often, on dates, etc, due to its supreme concealability. i do intend to replace it with a ruger LCP at some point but for now i have the P32.... which i'm about to throw in the trash.
ive been carrying it for a...
so what i gather here is
due to US emissions regs, a shop will be shut down.
however, its perfectly acceptable to import the same product from other countries. i don't get it. if it were an ecological issue we'd push to shut down ALL lead smelters, worldwide. but.... no. the US lives in a...
KCI mags are utter crap. i've bought several large cap mags and they are terrible terrible terrible. 90% of them the floor plate broke free from the mag and now you have thirty bullets all over the floor, not to mention they jammed like a SpaceBalls radar dish filled with raspberry.
if you want to give me info i might be able to help. i have resources I use to do background checks on prospective employees. nothing illegitimate, just web services i routinely employ to get a feel on applicants.
consider the difference between a WASR and a precision AR. both have the same basic components yes, one is made with much higher precision than the other and it clearly shows.
