      Get Your Ammo Here!

Lawrence Walmart has 12-15 boxes of 100rds of Winchester 9mm. I picked up 3 boxes at 11:30am. $26.57/box iirc

Hey all...for those partaking in the challenge, may I offer some suggestions: You can get a good scale that measures % fat and they are fairly accurate. You do have to stay hydrated which is super important anyway. Calipers are not accurate unless you have been trained properly in pinching the...

Car Not Starting , Need Help

Could the ignition coil be cracked? The noise could be the indicator. I had that issue on a Miata. Mine had a miss. I am pretty sure that the coil you described is the same as Miata had since Mazda shared parts.

Car Not Starting , Need Help

That was the easiest way to explain it. There are electrodes or contact points (see points) where the spark is released to the spark plug wires.

Car Not Starting , Need Help

Since I see that your car has a timing chain, I am not so inclined to think that it jumped time unless it just plain broke. The popping can actually be discharge from the cap/rotor (if it is a distributor system). You can see spark but the spark timing can be off if the rotor itself isn't good...

Is 9mm redily available as claimed?

Walmart on Keystone was out of 9mm but .40 and .45 was available. I ended up buying from Bare Arms in Noblesville. I paid $16.95 or so for 50 rounds. At least I have some ammo. They were very friendly and I liked their service.

Car Not Starting , Need Help

your cold start valve could be faulty or the temperature sensor that tells you that the car is cold.

Car Not Starting , Need Help

When you turn the car on, does the fuel pump buzz? If so, is the car turning over regularly or is it a fast turning over? If it turns over fast, then the timing belt has jumped or it is broken. Pull the spark plug then reinsert into plug wire. Have someone turn the car over and see if you see...

      Open carry debate

I am giving it from a former nongun carrying person. I understand that I need to learn more but many of you have been around guns for a long time. Don't assume that those who advocate OC are doing others a favor. I am an educator and I am looking at this forum to help teach me. If those OC...

      Open carry debate

Being new to guns and as a new LTCH I plan to conceal. I personally think OC is pretentious. It is to show people that "hey look, don't F with me". OC scares the crap out of most people because the public does not know the intention of the OC. Many people don't see guns or even own them. Yes it...

      Practice ammo recommendation

Thank you, pudly. Is Remington a decent practice ammo? I had a conversation with a buddy who said that the Remington ammo didn't feed consistently with his Glock 19.

      Practice ammo recommendation

Dang nab it...I am sorry that I didn't give you that information. I have a Taurus PT111 G2 9mm. It will not be my primary ammo, just practice. I plan to use it at an outdoor range, some plinking may be involved. Mostly to get familiar with the gun before I go precision. I will be shooting with...

      Practice ammo recommendation

Hi guys as you can see, I am new to this site and new to guns. I used the search but it did not come up with any good results. What brand is good and relatively inexpensive. It seems like that there are so many options, like handguns, that I don't want to fire junk. I am not trying to start an...

      Best $400 handgun

Being a new gun owner, I had a hard time choosing a handgun. There are too many options and it was like going into a good liquor store and trying to buy good beer. I felt overwhelmed and I did a lot of internet research. The 12+1 was a big seller too. I have not fired the gun but I will be doing...

Hey Osprey....I wanted to let you know to check out Plainfield Gun Supplies. I paid $319 for it and Bradis had them in stock when I called. They were $359 but Bradis may price match. I do not work for PGS nor am I paid to endorse them. I am new and I was looking for a great inexpensive 9mm.

      Best $400 handgun

I just recently bought my first handgun. I purchased a Taurus PT111 G2 for $341 with tax at Plainfield Shooting Supplies. They were great and the price before tax was $319. I chose this gun because I have not read a bad review of the gun. I looked as hard as I could for a bad review. It's an...
