The Funny Picture/Video Thread, 15th Edition: Be more like Coleman.

My MIL is an infamous back seat driver. While her skills run the gamut, her particular specialty is peering over your arm to check your gas gauge. Then admonishing you for letting it get too low, all the while you have 3/8 of a tank. For godsakes, NEVER let it get to 1/8th, you'll never hear...

      Your First World Problems

I empathize with your dilemma; I too have suffered. And I am responding in the proper manner. I am reminded of what my mother used to say in times like these: "I wish I had your problems."

Pictures of the great outdoors thread.

We were in East Glacier. We heard West Glacier was very crowded. The Sun Road seemed very crowded, so much so that people wanted to park, but couldn't. I forget the name of one place where cars circled the parking lot creating gridlock because they couldn't find a free space. We booked a...

      Yesterday

Had the changer. Remember all the cool coins that would show up? Indian head penny, silver nickels, 1890s dime, Liberty quarters, Peace dollar. Half dollars that wouldn't fit in the changer. Oh, I forgot those steel pennies.

Any investment advice for a financial advisor?

PLEASE ! Take the time to learn how to invest. You will make more money from your portfolio than you'll ever make from a job. The most sage piece of advice I can give you is you don't have to beat the market when it goes up, you only have to not lose your shirt when it goes down. This will not...

Best place to canoe/kayak within 2'ish hours of Morgan Co.?

I'm also thinking about a kayak trip down Sugar Creek. Across the street from my house is Eagle Creek Park. Several places to launch. $6 to get in the park and $3 for the kayak, OR $5 (or usually free since the gate is almost always up) to launch at Eagle Creek Reservoir, but not in the park...

      Fishing 2024

I come from saltwater and used to use a Uni knot. In the last few years I've adopted the Canoe Man's Loop and use it in freshwater too. The loop gives the lure a freer action.

      Any experience selling sterling silverware?

I have 250 ounces of antique silverware. As near as I can tell, it's sterling silver, 0.925. Does anyone have experience selling this? I don't want to mess with a private buyer, so dealer. There are several of them in the Indy area. How much below spot is a reasonable price? Any advice? THX !

      Your First World Problems

Aaaaand more madness. I read an article in the WSJ about gen Zs laughing at a guy wearing anklet socks. Apparently the new "in" sock is mid-calf, even for the gym. I'm pretty sure I would have laughed at this when I was 20.

      Your First World Problems

It is now 2024. I have run across people in the last 20 years who wanted a phone call, not an email, a guy who doesn’t use email, and people who are mad if they send you a text and you respond with a phone call, and apparently those same people are offended if you don’t first text them that...
