when I used to go to the range, I like the 9mm. It was easy on the hands. I used a Ruger SR1911 9mm and Ruger LC9S with laser. Rifle is AR but no particular caliber preference since I had most of them. They all feel the same.
Back in the 80's, I had .25 CCI Blazers that had aluminum casing. I guess aluminum has gotten better. The .25 was notorious for jamming. I was using a semi-auto Raven (perhaps it was the semi). I was told the aluminum case expanded more than brass and caused the jams. Every other shot it jammed...
I think it's like everything else. People buy based on name brand. Whether it be for reliability or part of the "Joneses". That's the great thing about having options and choices. I am not a metallurgist but I make sure the barrel is at least made known metals and i don't trust the thin barrel...
I guess I've been lucky. I haven't been doing any gun related purchases for a few years so I'm not too worried. I was gung ho for about three straight years purchasing nonstop but I've found other hobbies now. I do miss going to the range though.
I use PayPal for eBay and if given a choice with LGS sites, I use it also and never had an issue. That said, I'm neither for or against anything that might reflect my beliefs and the only belief I have is in myself.
Meh. Marketing ploy. Any weapon, name brand to home build, are basically the same unless you're doing it for money/professionally or shooting thousands of rounds a day. Bottom line is they are all lethal and they will keeeeell.
Definitely not an EV and I would use whatever vehicle runs. I have no preference; hence, I'll drive what's in front of me...as long as it's an automatic. Can't drive a manual (i'm sorry)
Hmmm. I thought the shell or casing is in the receiver but the bullet goes in the steel barrel. The explosion I've seen in those gun fail videos occur when the trigger is pulled and powder or debris gets into their face. That said, I've seen videos with the barrel explode like a blooming flower...
