All my 26 years of martial arts training wouldn't have saved me from a pac of feral dogs. In that scenario, a firearm is your best friend. I know Indy is a 'No Fire' city, but would you get in a world of trouble if you let a round off to scare the pack away? 5-8 dogs would tear anyone apart...
Yeah, to my eyes, it looked like a full grown Siberian Husky, but not as puffy. I think I over estimated the weight. The dogs I've seen that heavy are pits, but those dogs are skin and muscle. And muscle is 3x heavier than fat. But it was definately big.
I only saw one, but there clearly TWO print tracks. Bastards were baiting my pup. lol. The fur expalins the reason why I saw it so thick. And the legs were a bit slim, I can't say for sure. There wasn't much light.
Also, I'm considered Indianaoplis, but I'm in Marion County, Franklin...
Print near my kitchen window
Possible fecal matter? My pup leaves bigger ones than these.
Two prints side by side, still near kitchen window. I doubt these were from the beast I speak of.
These are the prints
This is where it went
To my eyes it was as big as a siberian husky. Could have...
Now that you mention it. LoL. The track prints will show another dog joining in on the walk to the woods. Sneaky bastards. I keep my pup on the lease at all times. I let her run off once to see if she would come when I call, but she didn't come as fast as I expected. Never again. Not...
200 feet was the distance. I have targets out at 100 feet and 125 for my air rifles. He was just a little beyond that. I took pictures of the tracks by my kitchen window. I used a 20 ounce bottle of aquafina for size comparison. I also ventured out into the hotzone for you guys and took a...
Monkey, don't tell me that. Or maybe the next time I take the dog to walk, it'll be me who craps. It had to weight atleast 100 to 150 pounds. The Coyote's I see on TV usually weight like 50 to 75 pounds and look hungry and scrony. I could probablly kick one of those across the yard. But that...
LoL. Most likely, she's only 12 weeks old. And it's a lab.
Maybe she was upset about me locking her up at night while she learns to potty train as was thinking,"Master? I'll show you master you Bas****" lol. She didn't even look it's way. What a worthless mutt. Anyone wants a pure breed...
I was only one large canine. Could have been a loose Siberian Husky, but just the other day a neighbor lost her pug and was driving around town looking for her. So I doubt it's from this neighborhood. Either way, a loose dog is just as dangerous as wolf or a coyote when it's hungry.
I...
So I was walking my pup this morning before my morning rounds. When I came to my back yard, I saw some tracks leading up to my kitchen window. At first I though it could have been some peeping tom, but I realized they were animal tracks. Like when an animal is in a full sprint. So I...
Ruger GP100 and many others have adopted the DA/SA trigger system.
You'll have to excuse me, I'm a virgin firearms enthusiast. I've been reading far more than I should have, in a short period of time.
I thought the dilema was that of Time to First Shot with an "uncocked" hammer/pin, or a chambered round? If she needs to fire, hope she never has to, she just wants to pull the trigger and the round is out. I was under the misconception that a DA/SA trigger would also load a round out of the...
I stand corrected. Maybe she should look into a DA/SA compact revolver.
Here is the correct terminology, excuse my mistake.
"Double-action/single-action
A double-action/single-action (DA/SA) firearm combines the features of both mechanisms. Often called traditional double action, these...
A selling point for firearms is the TTFS (Time to First Shot). This is measured in seconds and they do it for chamber and unchambered rounds. The fastest TTFS guns are the DA/SA guns. You don't need to chamber a round since the first trigger pull (Usually the heaviest) is Double Action. So...
