That's a good possibility and I have wondered about it as well. Without the proper die, I'll never know. That's partly why I've asked the original question. There may or may not be a good way to fix the problem, but it is not functional the way it is now.
I don't need a lecture, but I bought it out of a "factory blem"/"as is" box at the 1500. It is an ACE m4 Socom stock, full length. In appearance, everything looks normal. The problem is when threaded into the lower receiver to the point of holding the buffer retaining pin, there aren't any...
When I inquired about their changes, they told me they are only listing "in stock" items. That may explain why they don't list mil surp supplies. They stated that the web site was a work in progress. It better progress quickly or I'll start looking elsewhere as well.
The threads I have are just fine. The problem is there aren't enough of them. It was not threaded enough from the factory to allow a receiver plate and castle nut. Therefore I need the die to cut more threads.
I need to rethread a buffer tube. Does anyone have a 1 3/16 - 16 threading die? I realize I can buy one, and I realize I could take it to a gunsmith. I looking for the other option of borrowing or renting. The job should take all of about five minutes.

The identification has been confirmed. Deadeye is correct. I wonder if INGO can help find my stolen coon hound from 25 years ago?
Agreed 100%!!! I will be driving the speed limit and stopping completely until I get the new one.
LOL, I didn't realize that a proper license allows a person to break the law.
I ordered on Sunday, November 30th. I received a UPS shipping notification on December 2. Through UPS tracking, I see that it is in Illinois now and scheduled for delivery by Tuesday, the 8th. They have always been timely for me as well.
Is this an attempt to change a stereotype, or a move to take some market share from North Face? It's not your typical Carhartt, and I can't believe I think it's a nice looking jacket.

You can't tell a young goose from beef. Cook it as a roast with potatoes and carrots; or my favorite, cut it in strips and make pepper steak served over rice. Old geese are a different matter, unless you like liver. They do, however, make excellent jerky. Get yourself a jerky shooter, grind...
