Winimac never had a wait. RO has nothing to do with his time so he's all over enforcing these rules.
JP on the other hand can really fill up.....even though it's like 2X as big as Winimac. The RO there tends to focus on safety related stuff like anyone to touching a gun while someone is down...

Excellent post
thanka for the info and clarification no matter how retarded they are
That said please let me know if we should start emailing, calling or actual mailing of complaints or any other game plan you believe will make this go away.
Winimac ROs are enforcing this but I can say that...
noise..... keep that and rounds on your property
In 1962, Levi Kemp built an earthen berm at the back of his property, located in Marshall County, Kentucky, for use as a shooting range. At the time, no county zoning ordinances, regulations, or state laws were in effect to govern shooting...
So in summary:
Check ordinances BOTH for where you live and the county for wherever the property is.
If they have noise or gun discharge ordinances: forget it. You can build it but neighbors and even government can shut you down.
Seems like unincorporated > incorporated: increases odds in...
Maybe.......maybe not

Hobart, In
I seriously doubt that's all there is to it.
I mean Hobart just started ticketing people for having their own cars park on their own property if it's not on an approved / concrete driveway.
I have to assume noise ordinances or something else would be used against anyone dare build one.
